We were invited to participate in the local Diez y Seis de Septiembre (Mexican Independence Day - 16th of September) Parade on Saturday. We were in a group of older cars 60's vintage - Chevy, Dodge and Ford, (but we know we got all the attention). Cruising down the street for about 45 minutes with the tunes playing - "Wild Thing" and "Don't Be Cruel" for some entertainment, and taking pictures as we went along. We found out later that day that our group won a trophy for 'Best Creative Entry'

One of many floats and color guards waiting to get started

Norm and our panther with the mascot from one of the
local middle schools. It seems like the Jayhawk was
intimidated by the panther

Caught some of the kids checking out the Prowler

Just about ready to get the show on the road

Norm hurrying back to the car, the parade has started -
hey, someone has to drive

Finally moving along, with panther on the windshield

Had the tunes playing and had a great time

Pat was a passenger for most of the parade but did get out to take a few minutes of video
