I have noticed more of a response from guys than I have from women. This is in Southern California - what about the rest of the Nation? What about other peoples experiences? ------------------ This message has been edited by cwatsonjr on 04-26-2001 at 10:27 AM |

Here in Orlando, FL, I have noticed the guys scream, blow horns, and go wild over the prowler, while girls seem to not really care. |

Ciiff, I seems that everywhere I've taken this "cat-a-like", 7-70, male or female, the majority of the time --they like it! Gene |

well... a total of 14,500 miles between the three... Anywhere I go I have guys drooling over the car, and most ask how many girls I have picked up with them, (typical if you think about it, guys love cars, girls usually just drive them for transportation), I have had two girls chase me down to say nice car while driving, one girl yell out nice Prowler, and two rather ugly (sorry, but they were REALLY ugly) girls approach me to say nice car, and that's IT out of hundreds of guys. Men always assume that a nice car gets the girls, especially when they do not have one, and no matter what you tell them, they'll not believe you if you say otherwise. Even my girl assumed I would have girls leaving me notes on the car. The fact is, if I took a van instead of a Prowler, I would have a better chance of picking up girls. ------------------ |

Five minutes after delivery of my '99 Red Prowler,A nice looking chick in her early twenties pulled beside me in her ute and asked for a ride; she raised her blouse to alert me that she was serious. What a ride!!! The Prowler makes anyone an instant celebrity. You get more attention than a circus clown driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!!! |

I drive down the road and get equal attention from both males and females. I have received a stack of phone numbers from girls since I bought the Prowler last February. But I had a stack of phone numbers before the Prowler also. I can't really say if the Prowler has made a big difference cause I am a young, attractive, successful, intelligent male to begin with (got the whole package baby )... the Prowler is simply the cherry on top as far as that goes. All I can say is that everyone from kids to... uh... more mature persons (political correctness mode off) of both sexes go crazy over the car. It seems that the only people that don't like the Prowler are the white-trash type... but I don't go to Walmart anymore, so it doesn't matter. ------------------ Bill Gallagher |

After 3 years, the car still gets a lot of attention. Doesn't seem to matter what age or sex - everybody stops, yells, waves, smiles and so on. Still cracks me up that people slow down to check out the car or speed up to get a better look...either way, usually always get a smile or thumbs up. Best slice of happiness on a daily basis....(almost). |

I have a good number of girls/women that compliment me on the car, ask me what it is. I've had a number of women pull next to me in traffic, and ask me what it is and say they love it! The majority are guys, however. Almost had one fall out the passenger window of a car trying to get a look at it while they were passing me. I get lots of thumbs up, whistles, hoots, hollers, compliments, questions, etc. from the guys. The other day, I was making a right turn at a light. There was a guy in a pickup sitting at the light waiting to make a left onto the street I just turned off of. He pulled his sunglasses down his nose, looked over them at me and the car and gave me a nod and the thumbs up!!! Had a guy in a new Corvette driving past me from the opposite direction and as he got next to me, he gave me a thumbs up!!! Never had any negative comments until last week. Was driving down a two lane street. Guy coming towards me from the other direction and when he got up next to my window, he yelled at the top of his lungs "B**tch and flipped me off! Have no idea what that was all about...... ------------------ |

Reading these posts reminds me of when I brought in my car to work a week or so after I had it. One of my co-workers wanted see it, so, we went downstairs and I put the top down. She got in and started hugging the steering wheel and saying how beautiful the car was. She said that it was a total chick magnet and wanted to borrow the car to go and pick up some chicks. I quickly said no and then realized what she said! ------------------ |

I am facinated by the response I have been getting from woman while driving around NYC. Of course, I get the same thumbs up and questions from men, as to be expected. But what amazes me is not the expected responses but the ones from woman who had never before stopped a stranger and asked or commented about a car before. I'm not refering to the classic "Hot babes" but, for example, an eighty year old woman who had her nurse wheel her chair over to me to ask questions, a pair of Greenwich Village Lesbians who never thought before of a car as anything more than transprotation, middle age to old woman who are mesmorized by the lines of this car. There is something about the shape of this vehicle that touches woman in a way no other car does. |

well Tom... I must say there have been a few old lady responses and few responses from women I'd not want to be seen with... just a notable lack of responses from cute women, not there have been none... just very few. ------------------ |
