What really upset me was I only got to make 9 runs! Becuase of the all day rain, many locals did not show up for open racing that evening - only our group and about 8 or 9 other cars. You could literally drive around after a run and line up to be the next to race with no waiting. EVERY Prowler won their class. Mine was STILL the Fastest Naturally Aspirated Prowler to make a 1/4 run. Ok - for those that were there, did anybody else run? I was too busy making passes to get to see anybody else run. |

Marty ... what was THE fastest time for a Prowler there? In all fairness ... I would suggest that the title of Fastest Prowler be won ONLY at National events such as the Dells event. This way, it is defended annually and there will likely be a larger draw for a drag event with a "title" on the line ... just a thought. |

Gary I think Marty has the slip? But anyways it does not matter to me cause you did it on a solo run with no presure..... LOL For those that herd the headers on Garys car and I will say that after 70MPH they REALLY PERFORM, after looking at the 660 ft slips to the finish Garys car pulled on me by 2/10 on the last 1/2 of the track and a 1/10 on the first 1/2 for a 3/10 on the quarter mile. I ran him several times and the numbers were always the same. And I am sure Gary will give you a butt dyno report. I was hoping to have a set on display at the Dells but they came in to late, they are here now and I will post photos later. They are Stainless Steel equal length headers and run $1290.00 with out cats and $1490 with cats. ------------------ This message has been edited by Bob Goetz on 07-24-2005 at 12:54 PM |

I knew I should have sent my car to Chagrin Falls for those headers! Ray - times were slow due to the 92 degree heat & humidity. The 2005 Viper never ran faster than 13.2 when the car should have been in the low 12's under better weather conditions and maybe a more experienced driver... Fastest time slips are just that - the fastest time slips. The only way to know whose car is faster than another is to race heads up side by side. My fastest time was 13.7. I ran 6 times in the 13.8s and twice just over 14.0 - way too much tire spin at the line but both times I got up to triple digit speeds at the end of the runs. Beating the 2005 Viper off the line and through the 1/8 mile mark and only losing by a few car lengths was the most fun for me. This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 07-24-2005 at 03:30 PM |
