phil2237Be careful with those chips as most of them OVER fuel the engine & you can cause damage by washing the walls of the cylinder with the gasoline. Gas is not a lubricant & destroys the engine
catfisha waste of money, dont bother.useless.you really dont think you will get better performance do you.

+1... Without spending MAJOR $, the Prowler will never be a real 'high performance' vehicle...
IMO, my best investment was modifying the exhaust system to make it sound like a high-po car!

IMO too, this is the general consensus among most all Prowler owners

catfisha prowler was not meant to be sold or built as a high performance car,if you think it was your wrong.

Wow this on eBay ships from Poland. Maybe we are wrong and ship our cars to Poland so we can go faster. I agree save your Money. If it was that easy you would have seen it done on this site 14 plus years ago. Many have tried these quick cpu boosters and cpu reprograming. No dice! There is Nothing quick, simple or cheap going fast in a prowler!

Even the fastest and most powerful ones ever built have clearly defined limits tied to the design. Drive, cruise, look fast, sound fast, turn heads enjoy!!

mslc10Just asking since I had a programmer for a f150 and it improved throttle response and increased seat of pants horsepower. This programmer came highly recommended and did help the 04 ford.

I also had a 2007 jeep that needed help so I sprung for a Jett chip and saw/felt no improvement.

padrooThe Prowler was no slouch for it's day. I read somewhere the only faster car in Chrysler's lineup was the Viper.

The new V-6's of today are a totally different breed some pumping out over 300 HP.

IMO comparing it to other Chrysler products means nothing as far as not being a slouch...
There are available production V6s like Nissan GTR near 600 HP

BeWareThis was addressed many years ago. It was determined that the Chrysler engineers did and excellent job and squeezed every bit of performance available form the programing. After trying to get more with and aftermarket upgrade it was determined that about the only real benefit gained would be elimination of the top speed governor in US Sold Prowlers. The Canadian Prowlers do not have the governor. Even acclaimed performance expert Bell could not produce significant HP or torque improvement. See the attached link from 2003
