Some times I need to press on one side of the switch more than the other side to make them work. So for the masters of Prowler world, is the problem in the switch/connection itself or is it in the window mechanism within the door itself? Thank in advance. Some times I need to press on one side of the switch more than the other side to make them work. So for the masters of Prowler world, is the problem in the switch/connection itself or is it in the window mechanism within the door itself? Thank in advance. Sounds like dirty contacts in the switch Common problem with all electrical devices that do not get frequent use. My guess you need to drive the car move and use the switch several times each drive. But really, lack of use is the problem, when you force the switch one side more than other you change contact pressure points. My moms jeep driving light switch is like that. They never use them but a few years back during fog they tried to use them and found out they didn't work. I drove it and played with the switch and was able to get them to come on. Dirty contacts is the problem. I know mine leaks too but I don't think raising the window will help mine. Might even make it worse. The problem is getting the different sections of weather stripping to line up. Not a fix, but might help seal it up. This works very well...... The window can be adjusted on the track inside the door. ------------------ It's a window fix with an attiTUDE. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002685.html This message has been edited by padroo on 12-18-2014 at 08:06 AM http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/013980.html I think I heard someone say that they thought some of the original window regulators were actually broken at the factory during installation when the cars were being assembled. I can get them to go up and down yet but find that pressing ever harder on the window switch is needed to make this happen. WildCat quote:

Me Time Thanks, will give it a try. While I'm at it, is there a way of making the passenger side window rise up an extra 1/8"- 1/4", the window leaks at the seal when it rains and I'd like to stop the leak so I don't have to watch the weather channel day and night. beachcat Someone will know how. ALLEY CAT After the passenger window is UP,,,,,with door open, grab the glass in the middle and pull up. It should be up another 1/8 or 1/4"..... phil2237 quote:
