Open or enclosed ?

What size do you recommend.

Thanks,

Midwest Boy

BeWareThe first and most important question is what you are going to use as your tow vehicle

Midwest BoyThanks Larry & Rich

I did the search and lots to read.

No problem on the tow vehicle, my 2005 F150 Super crew 4x4 does a nice job of that.

I think I'll go with the enclosed trailer..

Thanks,

MB

TLRandallI currently have the 16 foot enclosed trailer with the ramp inside for the Prowler Trailer. I hope to close the deal on the new 48 foot enclosed trailer on Saturday, so that I can store and carry them both, including both Prowler trailers.

The 16 footer will have to go then to help pay the bills!!!

TLRandallThe deal on the 48 footer is done! I hope to bring it home in about two weeks, and see if I can get it to make the turn into my driveway!

WOW!!! awesome trailer.
If you don't mind my asking what did the 48 footer set you back??.

Toys

TLRandallWillie, it is just a year old, has triple 7000 lbs axles, 8 foot wide, 1 foot extra height, hydraulic landing gear. He listed it for $19,500.00 and said it was $22,900.00 new. We settled on $16,750.00 drive out! After pricing them out, I feel pretty good about this one!

I just hope it will make the turn in the driveway, this thing is HUGE!!! But it solves several problems for me here with storing the cars and trailers out of the weather and being able to transport them. Looks like I will have to buy a dually truck sometime in the future!

TLRandallA few more pics

Have you decided on asking proce for the 16 footer yet?

TLRandallI have had a few inquiries, some from awhile back.

Looking for suggestions, lol, I need to see what these are valued at because it came with the package when I bought the purple car, and I have no idea yet what they are selling for with this type set up. I need to start looking that up so I can let those folks who have expressed interest make an offer.

Midwest BoyTLR,

Let me know what the price is when you decide, I'm interested also.

Thanks,

Midwest Boy

Nice trailer. Are you sure two cats w/trailer's will fit. What are you going to pull that monster with.
ed monahanTex, you ought to just put a john in that new one and a cot or sleeping bag and live in it. lol.
I sure hope it works out for you.
TLRandallEd, I bought the Vintage Outlaw brand because it is used in a lot of living quarter trailers. My plan, when the $$$ is available, is to take the 8 foot overhang and a few feet of floor space and put a small living quarters up front, with a bed, shower, fridge, john, and air! That way I can be self contained when I take this monster out!

Fixum, yup, it will fit both Kats, both trailers, with a over under lift for the trailers only that I have to add into it, and the go cart, and still have room to sleep up front. It has 40 foot of floor space and 8 foot of 4 1/2 foot high space on the front overhang.
It pulls with a one ton dually, the previous owner did pull it with a 3/4 ton dually, but not loaded down. He did have two full size suburbans in there once!

fixummvery nice.
CJSounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you! Congrats on the trailer.......do you need a CDL to tow that thing!?
WildCatIf you are going to get a Ford Dually I can get you a X plan pin number

I would not hook that to any thing smaller than a Ton Dually with a diesel.........a 450 or 550 Dually would be even better

You have a great plan. I would like to have a trailer to haul/ store 2 cars in.

TLRandallThanks Fixumm and CJ, it is going to be a cool project trailer!!

Wildcat, I am looking at getting the 2008 F-450 Dually to pull it. A one ton would do, but would not be the best once I finish it out with a living quarters. I was going to buy a new truck in December anyway, so now I have a better reason. I don't want to go higher than a 450, so I don't have to deal with a different license. I will let you know when I am ready, that PIN will really help, Thanks!!!

Till then, I will have to rely on a few friends at work to move it around for me!
