katmatI've ben thinking about purchasing a prowler to go along side my e-type jaguar(is on the lift more than the road).
I know that the new models had a little larger engine & were sold by Chrysler after Plymouth closed. I would be looking for a low mileage vehicle. Did they offer options on the Prowler & are some years more desirable than others?
I live in the Chicagoland area & have ben watching ebay for about 6 months.Any books that would help? Are the cars cheaper this time of year? It seems like that there are a lot of dealers in Florida on ebay? thanks for your help.

Bcoffman Gray GhostMatt, Are you from Kansas City originally? Folks in the optical business? Gerry Optical?
RED5I would go with at least an '01. There were no options other than the exhaust system and trailer stuff.

We have a great group of owners in the area and we would love to help out in any way possible.

pumpkinGood idea on buying a Prowler. Go to search and type in buying a Prowler, a lot of good info on this subject.
Mike KrehelHi Matt,

392HEMIMatt: Great idea. Can't go wrong. The 01's & 02's have the best chance of qualifying for the extended bumper to bumper warranties out through 2007 and 2008. Watch the prowleron line.com under the classified, also many are advertised and sold on autotrader.com, check under Plymouth Prowler and Chrysler Prowler (01's & 02's)
The Chrysler moniker was placed on all the units manufactured fron Jan. 1, 2001 through Feb. 15, 2002. Then enjoy!!!!!!

bbcarHi Matt, I have a 97 Prowler in excellent
condition, I would consider selling it for
27,500 if you aare interested let me know.
Barry 314-423-8079 It has never been hurt.
it is #212 body produced.
SuperKatWe sure love this car and all the people we have met. I believe it's a good time to buy; all years have something going for them. 97's are first made of course. Before making our last purchase we looked at a lot of muscle cars and decided on a prowler. No better cruiser our there. JMHO

BeWareHaving purchased a Prowler has literally become an life changing experience for us. There is no car manufactured that could have made such a dramatic and positive influence on our lives.
This is no just my opinion . It is a fact!

Dale BeamanGordon,
When is Annie going to get to drive that new Prowler?
Dale
ed monahanThe 97 had a cast iron engine. 99 and newer had aluminum blocks. There were no options. They claimed diff. paint was an option and charged extra for it. They claimed chrome rims were an option but they weren't. Once they changed, all subsequent Prowlers had the change. You could not order extras.
There were accessories available like a trailer, a luggage rack, etc.
I have a 99 and a 2002. I don't see a large enough difference to worry about it. Any year will work if you get what you want at the price you feel good about. Now is an EXCELLENT time to buy, in my opinion. Not a good time to sell, however. Glad you found us. Take your time and find what you want.
Read the Prowler story that Mike K. posted.
IM IN XTCMat mine is for sale but it is expensive $40 000 00 but it is YELLOW it has 14k and it has been loved in fact my girlfriend calls it the " Mistress" LoL
Mail me if you dare
anxiety2001Matt I just decided a couple of days ago to sell my Kat. I also live in the chicago area. I have a Mint Kat with low miles if you are serious. Check your messages! -Jeff
SuperKatAnnie's kat is a brand new 2001. Dale she has not taken it out but I have bumped the miles up to 140; she definitely needs a road trip when the weather gets warmer. License, taxes and insurance paid almost ready to go.

Check this one out Matt! I just love my 97. Barry is offering his 97 for a great price. I'm sure it's in GREAT shape. Man is that a cheap price too!!!

Yah...you can go after the high horsepower cars out there but I can guarantee you will NOT stand out in the crowd like you will with a Prowler. It's truly a unique ride!!!

Good luck on your decision. Post if you have any further questions. These guys are always here to help you out.
