FrankCan anyone get in touch with Bob from Real Rod. I ordered a speaker box a month ago, and have not heard from him in two weeks. He does not return calls, answer his emails or faxes...
TFischerFrank: He is currently at the Dells. He spearheaded one of the national events this year going on all this week in Wisconsin. I believe that it wraps up tomorrow. Bob will get in touch with you next week I'm sure. Leave him a PM if his voicemail and/or e-mail are full. Tami

Just checking on my replacement speaker box (yellow), I had thought when we talked a week and a half ago, you said it was shipping. I could have misunderstood you. I am sure you were busy getting things ready for the dells. If you get a chance to put in an update I would appreciate it.

Marty UsherBob here, Frank & Mel yours should leave this week, sorry if I missed your calls getting ready for the Dells Event was a little more work then I thought.

Chris yours is DONE and just needs to be put in the box I tried to get it done before leaving for here but ran out of the cardboard reinforcement that UPS told me I have to put in for them to cover them for damage.

I will try to contact all of you monday.

FrankSorry guys, I still do have a speaker box nor a verbal reply except from the e mail listed prior from the dells. The mailbox is still full for messages. Sunday will be three weeks ago he told me he is getting it out.
Marty UsherFrank - Bob answered your post above on 7/22 saying he would get it out the week when he got home. He did not get home from the Dells until just a couple of days agao overe the weekend. Here is another post where he updated you also.

The man has to return phone calls, e mails and pm's. I am in busuness also and customers want to know what is going on with there orders. A phone call is simple as is hitting reply to on an e mail.
Marty UsherFrank - what I was pointing out was that you asked if someone could get in touch with Bob in the original post at about 9 am on Friday 7/22. I told Bob about your concerns and he answered your post the same day before lunch - less than 3 hours later.

He posted that yours would be shipped within a week of his return (still hasn't been a week yet) and then I was trying to point out he had posted info about your order on another thread.

Instead of accepting the post as a gesture that I was trying to show you where you could get more info on your order, you take the opportunity to bash Real Rod again.

Yes - most everyone knows Bob and I are friends. I also believe most people know Bob does the very best he can to be responsive. Since there are not enough people buying aftermarket products for Prowlers, RealRod has now become a part time enterprise and Bob works another full time job.

Bob has posted numerous times in the past weeks and months that he would NOT be available on a full time basis and about his messages/email problems that he was working to resolve. Also- he has posted about shipping problems, paint & fiberglass concerns, and the fact he did not want to send out inferior parts.

My advise is if you're not happy with his service don't buy from him again. You can always fabricate your own parts or find someone else to do it.

Bob GoetzFrank is correct I should have picked up the phone and called. I do try to answer posts and return calls ASAP but with the Dells Event and then upon my return I had to pull double shifts at work it has been hard to do, and I should have called him to let him know I screwed his part up upon final assembly before I left for the Dells, Marty you are correct in the fact if it's not right I wont send it and at times that makes me look bad on delivery but that's the way it is.

Real Rod is now a part time operation for me and if sales drop off even more because of this I will sell off what I have and close the doors or go the way of another vendor and hold orders until I have 10 sold to manufacture them.

Also regarding shipping and this is not anyones problem but mine UPS now owes me $10,480 in claims on 3 speaker covers ( that's all they broke ) 2 Weekenders, 1 Air patrol, 1 Rear Pan, all of these are for damages and 3 sets of Chrome Bumpers, 1 Chrome trailer hitch, 1 Air Patrol that they have lost, they called me today and are only willing to pay $3000 for all of it. So with my 20% profit margin as a average it just cost me $5500 on the items. ARRRRH

I have decided to eliminate all of my OEM parts I have packed away to get rid of a monthly storage bill so keep an eye in the classifieds.

Frank again I am sorry for the lack of verbal response and it looks like monday will be your ship day if this is not acceptable let me know I will refund you.

I am glad you responded, and I don't feel that it is Marty's place to interefere. I am dealing with you and you alone.

As as far as Marty is concerned I really don't like your resposes to me. It is not your concern.

This reminds me of all the previous posts with all the bs that was going back and forth and people leaving the site.. That is why I post as little as possible.
My deal is with Bob and no one else. I went on the post to get a respose from Bob as he was not answering calls, emails and etc.

If you'll note however - the first response posted under my name above was from BOB using my computer, not me. I only posted the first time myself to tell you Bob had posted about your order on another thread.

Kruisin KatBob, It sounds like you need a lawyer to contact UPS. Maybe a POA member could offer some help in that. Wish I could help but my plumbing license probably wouldn't cut it in court!
ed monahanI would tell UPS that I will pay 30 % of their usual shipping costs in the future if that is what they think is fair.
