Black Tie 161Had the car out yesterday....An older gentleman pulled up next to me at the light driving a pick-up. He looked to be in his 70's and I heard him saying something to me, so I turned down the stereo and turn to him and he said, and I quote...

"That is the most bada-- Mother------- car I have ever seen!"

Once I got over the initial shock of that, I smiled, and said, "you got that right". he then asked how much they cost now, and they always seem surprised to hear between 30-40k.

Just like a few weeks ago a nice Vette owner pulled nose to nose to me in the parking lot and we chatted, and he guessed the BT to cost about 80K!!!

Ya GOTTA just love this car...

Bob GoetzI hear ya, I have been driving the Prowler to work at the Chevy store and I will bet 1 out of 6 people come in and want to know how much, I think I have them talked into getting a few.

I put a older couple I sold a van to into it and let them go for a drive down the frontage road while waiting for the clean up guys to get it ready and I spent more time answering their questions about the Prowler than I did showing them how to work everything in the van.

My boss asked me not do do that again ( with a smile on his face ) and to maybe not drive it to work or at least park it around the corner, all I said is its all I have to drive but if they will give me a SSR or Vette to drive I will leave it at home.

It will be real good tomorrow as I have a local customer coming over in his Prowler to take delivery on some parts while I am at work.

rraitesooooo funny!!
I love everything about the prowler ( minus the window regulators) LoL.
seems like every time we stop for gas its like a mini
car show!!
Rpowell593Yeah, the car is awesome and a show wherever it goes. I hate telling people how much it costs - I like the illusion that I'm driving a 80K car (cause we know there are people that did pay that for them). The best answer I ever heard when asked the question is "Cost? Wouldn't know - I won it playing poker"
Randy CobbI had a guy ask me last Friday, "How much did that cost, 100 grand?".

I just said - "Not that much."

BradleyGI had a person ask me if they could take a picture of my car (That was before last Tuesday). Of course it is fine with me, then she told me she was on a scavenger hunt and they had to get a picture of a car that cost at least $250,000. So I had to tell her that you can get one of these for under $100,000. She took the picture anyway. I hope I can find one like mine for around $35,000. I love this car. So much fun!!!
Black Tie 161Bob: That's too funny! You know you give test rides in your Prowler when Dealers refused to when they were selling them? LMAO..

Take the Vette and beat the %$#@! out of it if they are going to give you a runner!

BOB: "Um...the Vette needs new back tires."

BOSS: "Why....the car only has 800 miles on it!!"

One of my favorite things is when an Expedition pulls up to me and a driver asks how much my car costs...and I can't resist saying....a lot less than that beast!

JeraneWOn quite a few occasions people pull up beside me and ask if it is a "kit" car. When I say "No!" then they ask, "How much did it cost?" I tell them "I don't know, my kids bought it for me." They then don't know what to say except, "Lucky dad!" I am 75 years young and don't intend to grow old.
ed monahanIf you are 75 you ought to tell them your parents just bought it for you. lol

Altho' I stole this from someone else who posted it many months ago, my favorite reply to 'how much did it cost?' is: "I really don't know...it's my dad's car!" Then drive away.
