| Richard Jackson | I was thinking of towing my Prowler with my SSR to the Dells. I have never towed anything, but It would help keep the miles on the prowler down and help with the luggage problem. I think the SSR can tow a trailer weight of 2500#s, but in the picture the tow bar is connected behind the license plate and on mine the tow bar comes from underneath? |
| Bob Goetz | Richard if you are going to tow with the SSR I would recommend the following: 1. Aluminum Trailer with electric brakes
2. Put an adjustable electric brake controller in with a manual panic button. Do not try to hide the controller box have it where you can reach it in the driving position.
3. Equalizer hitch
4. Rear air bags on the SSR ------------------

| TFischer | We talked to Rick quite awhile about him towing with the SSR. It took them awhile to get the Prowler exactly where it needed to go on the trailer so that the tongue weight was correct. T |

From Edmunds.com Maximum Towing Capacity: 2500 lbs. So no matter what kind of trailer, this could be a difficult tow. But it’s obviously been done.
