Bob Goetz Very Cool, could you make one using the wheel center cap in the middle instead of the round disc? Also maybe use all the colors and add High Voltage Blue to make 12 colors?

I was thinking one of the trailer wheel covers as the centerpiece. Nice clock. I like it.

Very cool, it might be easier to read if jjust the 12-3-6-9 quarters were another color?

My daughter kept telling me she was making me something special for Christmas and even after she asked if I had some extra matchbox cars I still had no idea!
Appreciate all of the positive comments.
Bob: Using a center cap is possible with a lot of extra work but would look great. She gets the clock center already assembled and adds the rest. Using all of the extra colors would be nice unfortunately I only have purple, yellow, blue and High Voltage blue.
Chromer: I agree that different colors on the quarter hours would look good. If I had 4 silver ones I would do it. Don't think my other colors would look good though. Also don't worry about how painful it is to the Prowlers - PETA is only worried about animals and vegetables!
Orange: They are made with the matchbox Prowlers.

I just talked to my daughter and she has 3 extra clock center sections and will make one if you are interested.The cost will be $40 including the clock, packaging and shipping in the USA - but you will have to supply the Prowlers. I had some questions via email about the clocks:
1) It measures about 15" in diameter.
2) The cars used are the ones that we got from Matt.
As a side note: My daughter is working on one with each of the Nextel Cup Chase cars in the order of finish. Kurt Busch at 1:00 o'clock, etc. Kasey Khane (Rookie of the Year)will be at 11:00. Not sure about 12:00. Any ideas?

I made this tach clock a while ago.
galaxie I was very fortunate to get one of Dale's clocks at Tulsa last year. Dale put it in a raffle & I was lucky to win it. It's on my wall in the computer room & looks great (still tickin). If I didn't already have one, I would get it. Thanks Dale for donating it at the Tulsa event.
