This was the first national event I attended of any kind. I imagine vendors are everywhere at these types of events. After all, it is their business. But I get the feeling ours are a little different. I met Jay the Shimmer man and saw him talking with lots of people. I saw Tony Goertz in coveralls installing gears in Rich Ware’s car. I lost count of how many times I saw Bob Goetz putting the wrong color Air Patrol on someone’s car. I even saw Paul at the Auburn event trying to get as many pictures of color combinations on the DekProTec and Prowler colors as possible. Hope I’m not missing anyone. Sure these guys are running a business. But they also press the flesh taking all the good and bad after spending the time just getting there. They each participated in the event yet made time for anyone’s questions or concerns. And we all know how limited the Prowler market is. After seeing all the mods that have made it to our cats, it becomes apparent just how important our vendors are. We do have a great group of people organized around this site. I just wanted to recognize that we have a great group of vendors as well. Thanks to you all. ------------------ ------------------ I didn't get to meet all of you, but the ones I did get to meet we A OK! Bob - Thanks for maintaining Party Central in the lot Wed. night! ------------------ I watched Bob do a body adjustment to Ray Bartels car in the parking lot. I needed to tighten my Hurst Shifter on the cruise and Bob Goetz was there with a wrench. Terrific! The vendors do deserve all the credit for doing business the "right way".. Hats off to them. ------------------ ------------------ 27,000 miles of smiles Bob Goetz and family also supplied parking lot refreshments every night to anyone that stopped by to say hello even if they only stopped long enough to open a can. You wouldn't have known that Pigeon Forge was a dry city based upon his generosity. Bob, thanks from me also for the refreshments. Jay, thanks for leaving the "Prowlers" under my windshield wipers. Now... I need to know how much money to send you for them. Larry Lord, thanks for bringing my latch reinforcement. Jim ------------------ This message has been edited by whealy on 09-01-2003 at 09:11 AM It's been decided that his next name badge should say "Better Than AAA"!! Bob was busy...........he...... ..Replaced the coolant and burped the cooling system on Gary Archer's car to get him back on the road in time for the week's events. His car was overheating and the local dealer refused to fix it. Rather than take it to Knoxville, Bob did it in the parking lot at the hotel. ..On Sunday night, he replaced Marty Usher's rear brake pads (by flashlight and parking lot lights), finishing at 1:00 a.m. Monday morning. ..At the Biltmore Mansion, Marty discovered he was down several quarts of oil, so they ran to the gas station to get more oil and Bob made sure he was okay before he left. ..He helped Rich Ware adjust his convertible top. ..He fixed the horn on JoeD's cat Bob's always there to lend a helping hand!! whealy Yep, PTS was an awesome time. Yep the organizers did a great job of planning the events. Thanks for all your hard work. But I wanted to mention our vendors that also participated in the event. Bob Goetz Thanks! this group makes it easy.
