As a new owner of my prowler I have notice with the top up a lot of wind noise from the passenger side window area, I adjusted the door to close a little tighter but have also notice that my window barely touches the rubber wear strip, I have seen in the past a adjustment that tilts the window angle and was wonder if any of you know if this adjustment is on the prowler? Think I saw such an adjustment for the Bmw M3 that was i. Place since there is no track for the window to ride in. If you can offer some suggestion I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks |

here is info on regulator... http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/023369.html there are adjustments of the window angle so that it meets the weather stripping, but you're best bet is a manual for that info go here , scroll down to the window regulators and check out the video... http://www.jeffersonautocollision.com/prowler-parts This message has been edited by mslc10 on 07-16-2020 at 01:44 PM |

After replacing my original Prowler window regulator with a Tom Mills unit I was able to adjust the up travel on his window regulator and get a good seal against the rubber. No more leaks. |

If it still has the stock regulator would be best to upgrade to Tom Mills regulators and as stated can adjust to fit tighter Reduce water & air leaks |

If your window regulator is still in good condition then you can adjust it in/out for a better fit on window top seal. Slip a piece of paper or dollar bill between glass and seal at various points to see how well its sealing. There should be some resistance when removing it. You'll need to remove inside door panel to get at adjustments. Shown below are pictures and instructions. Also a video link that shows you how to remove door panel as getting inside door release escutcheon plate off is a bit tricky. If regulator is broken or in poor condition than use either the Tom Mills regulator (Prowler vendor) or repair tricks on the POA site. If you do a search on this site for "window adjustment" you'll see info on regulator problems and window seal leaks. Hints: Remove inside door handle escutcheon by pushing hard inward into door panel and then sliding to rear. This video will give you a good overview of inside door panel and Tom Mills regulator. These cars are getting to be 20 years old, if not already hitting that milestone. So if you plan on keeping these cars any longer, the plastic that is in the picture of the window regulator will be cracking soon if not already cracked but you have not seen it since it is inside the door panel and you only drive the car twice a year. I have one car with 120,000 miles and another with 20,000, both of them I am going through and replacing these regulators as they are starting to break about. The new ones he sells are a piece of engineering that Chrysler should of used when the start of the Prowlers started, but his phone did not ring that day. So you need to order them on Wednesday of this week, as I plan to call Tuesday and get the last of his stock before you call, and then you will wait for them. It is like the timing belt of the engine. You can pay me now, or later, but later will be a higher cost, if even available. He will be waiting for your call on Wednesday, not Tuesday, because I am calling then. |

If you watch Pat's next video about convertible tops, he will show you how to adjust the top to help with this issue. |

This should be a "sticky post". Mr. Goertz - can you handle that? |
