Not sure if there are many boaters w/ Prowlers. We left the Chicago area last Saturday to start the "Great Loop", it is a ciranavagation of the eastern part of the United States. It's a slow process & not sure how much of it we will do, or if we will do it in sagements. We were at one of the locks on the Caloosahatchee and spoke to some boaters that were doing it. I have read several accounts of that trip. Good luck and hope you have fun and good weather. Are you headed clockwise or counterclockwise. I would presume counter due to the weather but what do I know. |

I hope you get to see some nice foilage on the trip south. Our trees are still totally green on some trees, some have changed and some have lost all their leaves. I guess the folks we talked to took a shortcut through Lake Okeechobee instead of around the south end of Florida. |

I see by the map it is the norm to cut thru Lake O. A few years ago one of the re-created ships that Columbus had used was going thru but it was about a week after we came home.
