I am thinking of buying a Hardtop, But I am also getting a chance to Buy a Rolex Watch. The watch is a great deal and I don't know if I should pass on it or use the money to buy the Hardtop. It's a DeepSea Rolex getting it for about $9K. Hardtop going to cost me about $4500. So Half of the Watch. If you understand about Watches, then you can understand why I am feeling like this. I know if I get the Watch, I will pass on the Hardtop for ever. and say it was never meant to be. Decisions, Decisions Need your help. What Would you do? Buy the Hardtop or the Watch?

Narrow market for expensive watches, get the hardtop. Most people don't know much about watches and think most Rolex watches are fake. FastLane I am a watch lover myself, one of the watches I've owened was the Rolex DeepSea black DLC Picard edition, same watch you looking at but in black, was a limited edition by one of the companies that modify rolex
It's a fantastic watch, but it's incredibly top heavy, you have to wear it very tight on the wrist or it keeps sliding around, it's not the most confortable of watches. The second problem I had with it was that wenever somebody who didn't know me saw it, the first question was always "is it real ? Or is it a fake ?"... Drove me nuts, people always think unless you are a famous person, if you are wearing a rolex, then it's fake, because in their minds, Rolex watches cost millions of dollars, little do they know that actually Rolex in the watch world is actually a very affordable watch In the end I just sold it and moved on to something else The DeepSea is a nice watch, but they are not rare or super special, I'd go for the hardtop ... |

Watches are obsolete. Everything is smartphone based now.

Long Answer: I had a Rolex watch for 20 years. It did not keep time very well. Always a few minutes slow. Sent to Rolex to fix 4 times. Still slow. Googled Rolex problems. Concluded Rolex does not keep time very well. Sold watch. Bought a hard top for my Prowler. Bought a Momentum watch at WalMart for $64. Every time I admire my hard top, I glance at my watch to see it's still keeping perfect time. Short Answer: Forget the Rolex. Buy the hard top. |

Buy the hardtop and with the left over money get GaryE's chrome front suspension and you will still have money left and more people will admire your car than your wristwatch ------------------

Some decisions are a no-brainer... Buy the hardtop and use the extra $4.5k to have your front end components chromed! Then buy a little something for the Mrs. |

The ladies seem to think I am a rich guy. I do have a Breitling watch, but it seems to be a poor-man's watch compared to a Rolex to people. The ladies here in Florida a ruff, if you want them you got to play the roll. 98% of are gold-diggers, nothing I can do about it. I know the Hardtop is more practical, but it won't give me a shot at the hotties here, Rolex will. Every time I meet a lady out here I do notice them always looking at what kind of watch I am wearing. And when I bring them over to my car another plus.... Facebook advertise the rolex knock offs for $115 .....by the hardtop fasty. If you rolled up in a prowler and had a knock off Rolex on ....dont think no one would question it. |

Do the hardtop, then get a gold I-watch,$25K those are what's in and will attract the younger (((hot chicks)))........unless of coarse your looking for a cougar, then go for the Rolex......JMO |
