Hey guys, I'm in contact with a guy at Foose and seeing if they would re-produce the F10578065 which is the legend in 17x8 with the 5.25" backspace for the front. The 20x10 in 5.5 is still available. But I'd like to give them a serious number of people that are interested. http://foosedesignwheels.com/wheel.cfm?id=1379 Don't know if they would be interested but worth a try as our wheels are getting older and flakier.its worth a try! ------------------ |

While I am happy with the OE wheels the design of the Foose would be a second choice for me. I would need to know the cost of a set (delivered) and the final finish of the wheels (chrome or polished alum) before even considering them for my car. If it would be more cost effective for me to re-chrome the OE wheels, I would likely go with a quality re-chrome. |

I like the wheels but don't like the foose logo on them. For some reason, that name leaves a bad taste in my mouth.(no, I'm not licking the wheels.) |

We'll I'm not having any luck guys: They would not look the same, as the spoke bend would be different , and the lip would look different. Thank you! On Feb 2, 2015, at 7:29 AM, John Thomas <johnt@mhtwheels.com> wrote: Mark, I can see where the price of a 3 piece wheel sounds expensive, but look at it this way. 2 molds would be needed to build a Prowler staggered wheel set up. Each mold as between $60,000-$80,000, so times that by 2, $120,000-$160,000 The first run of wheels, need to be DOT tested, and are all destroyed during testing. Once passed then production can begin. With only 11,702 total Prowlers ever built, And not every Prowler owner would buy a set wheels, The total number of consumers are just not there to support a cast, fitment specific wheel.
Thanks, JT I'm a member on the prowlers owners website and quite a few are looking for rims.ill take a poll and see what kind of numbers we'd be talking about. Thanks
Mark, Thanks JT -----Original Message-----

First thing I did when I got my car was to buy a set of Foose Legend Wheels for car and trailer. Wish I knew they were this popular or I would have stocked up. Chroming on them is just beautiful. Who knew. |

ok latest poop: Thanks (hattip) to Don at Moonshadow in Dallas Tx.(214-324-3322) the 20x10 5x4.5 5.5"bs in chrome is still available. this moves your rear tire/wheeel outward about 3/4 inch over stock.should be no problem with rubbing assuming stock tire. the fronts have to go to 18x8.5 5x4.5 6.1"bs which works out to be a34 offset vs. 32 offset for stock. Pretty Damn close! prices were $375 and $335 now the question, is anyone running 18"s? if so what tire size are you running? And what width are you running? ------------------ |

Foose makes the fronts in 17x8 4.50" backspace. Has anyone thought about moving the fender out a .50" There is enough tolerance for the other .25". Do not want to tip the apple cart but just a thought. |

Hopefully next week I am going to start working on the Prowler. I will take a closer look at the fenders. I also was looking at the American Racing wheels, Torq Thrust II PVD's, there offset is a 1/4 inch deeper than stock for front and rears. So the wheels will set further in. I do not think it will be noticeable. The PVD's are supposedly a better chroming process and have a better warranty. I do not want to go with polished ones because of the maintenance factor. |

As far as moving the fender outward, I found an old post where someone had used a 7/16" spacer on the fender mounting bolts to move the fender outward. I am trying to find that post again.... This message has been edited by skb4076 on 02-15-2015 at 10:21 PM |
