Anyone know if the Prowler owners still make this run? Interested in joining if possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsGUWmWC0hc |

That was when a event was held there for the week. Prowlers have been there several times, but it is not a regular event. It is a lot of fun to do though. |

Gort, put an event together that includes a run on the Tail of the Dragon and a group of us will come and participate. I'm up for it. |

I have run the dragon on at least three or four occasions. Both with Large Groups and Small Groups. It is fun, but can also be dangerous. It was safer with a large group as most everyone was using family channel radios. The front runners would pass alerts back of any upcoming traffic issues. The police were really cracking down for a while but I don't know if they still are. At one of the Smokies events (2003) after the large group ran the dragon, a smaller group decided to run it again. As the rounded a corner a man was stopped in the middle of the road and was out walking his dog. One of the Prowlers Frank and Brandi from FL went over the side. Only by a major miracle did they escape without injury and the car sustained only minor damage. All that said I would do it again but probably with more caution.
