garysssThat was when a event was held there for the week. Prowlers have been there several times, but it is not a regular event. It is a lot of fun to do though.

Greg and VetaGort, put an event together that includes a run on the Tail of the Dragon and a group of us will come and participate.

BeWareI have run the dragon on at least three or four occasions. Both with Large Groups and Small Groups. It is fun, but can also be dangerous. It was safer with a large group as most everyone was using family channel radios. The front runners would pass alerts back of any upcoming traffic issues.
The police were really cracking down for a while but I don't know if they still are.

At one of the Smokies events (2003) after the large group ran the dragon, a smaller group decided to run it again. As the rounded a corner a man was stopped in the middle of the road and was out walking his dog. One of the Prowlers Frank and Brandi from FL went over the side. Only by a major miracle did they escape without injury and the car sustained only minor damage.

All that said I would do it again but probably with more caution.
