RPL POA Lifetime Site Supporter Prowler Junkie From:Rochester Hills, MI, USA |

In reading recent posts it's occurred to me that many members are providing needed parts, accessories and services for Prowler. One owner may have one or more items or provide a service yet we don't have one place that we can go to quickly identify who offers what. I learn all of the time who does what. Our cars aren't getting any newer. |

how about something called "Parts Bin ".... this could be where we post info about parts that are not specific to the prowler that could be interchangable with Prowler parts... ? some may need a bit of modifying to work but could be our only option down the road... ie: SRT4 fuel pump This message has been edited by xtreme prowler on 01-27-2013 at 11:01 AM |

Stuff like this: Inner Tie rod ends---- not available for the Prowler, you need to buy the entire rack according to the dealer. Dealer quoted $1960.00 to buy the rack solution: buy inner tie rod ends for 05 Stratus part number MR519046... the threads on the substitute inners isn't long enough and threads cannot be extended because the rod diameter narrows after the threrads have a machine shop shorten the outer tie rod ends by the width of the lock nut plus 1/16"... done |

There already is a Forum for that called: Prowler Reproduction Parts Discussion The problems are the posters of the info starting a thread in the wrong Forum and moderators not organizing or putting the thread in the proper forum. For example, how many times have you seen an ad in General Discussion or technical info in the Off Topic. JMHO |

Great idea, I tried doing a thread where people preform modifications on prowlers. Many have retired or sadly passed away. This message has been edited by DrillinU on 01-27-2013 at 01:23 PM |
