We were just in Halifax last August on a seniors bus tour. Wish I had my Kat instead of that big old bus. Loved your part of the country. We had a tour guide that knew a lot of your history even though she was from Florida. Long trip! |

padroo, You have got to go to the N,H.N. It's a weekend cruise in New Castle In. on the last weekend in Sept. We have about 30 cars show up for the weekend. It's James Dean Week (car show). Larry Bell is our host. Great time. You'll meet a lot of great people there. Congrats on your Prowler, you're in for the time of your life. |

i took my top off the first time just a few weeks ago and i was looking at that T handle and the rip cord thinking.."what kind of bogus set up is this?"... it works... so what the hell...I'm used to my SOLSTICE top and its a bit more simpler and maybe a bit more updated... but im not complaining... come on summer time!!! |

Bus tours have a rigid itinerary. Cape Breton and Cabot Trail were not on our list. Neither were bed bugs at the La Quinta Inn we stayed at in Upstate New York. Seriously one of our fellow travelers found bed bugs in her room and the manager didn't offer a different room or help. My wife does not want to stay at any Indian owned motels now! |

Galaxy, I will try to remember that. It sound like a good time. We need to meet some new people and get out more. My wife likes cars but she also likes her home and I have trouble prying her away. I |

My son went to Florida for the Daytona 500. He says the thing he hates the most about Florida are the tourist. It's kind of funny being he is from Indiana. We have a smaller version of that problem here in the Summer when people come to the Indiana Dunes State park for sun surf and sand on Lake Michigan. The sun part is usually optional, not by choice. I can see how people get tourist and terrorist mixed up! |

The high exchange rate between the US and Cdn dollar will dampen the tourist industry here this year, everything costs more here so $ parity will make things twice as expensive to US citizens. Regular gas is $4.72/gallon. We don't usually have any problems with visitors here except for the litter. Summer unfortunately brings us loads of stuff thrown out of vehicles. To be fair some of the kids have grown up here thinking its ok to litter so the year round problem is getting worse... 10 years ago you could drive for hours without seeing any trash, maybe a bit in the summer.... times have changed. |

Jim I have made this comment to my friends in Toronto every time I visit them. Everything always looks so clean, not like USA where there is trash everywhere unfortunately. |

I really hate to hear that the stupid tourists litter in other countries. For some reason there is a certain segment of our society who seems to think it is okay to throw their trash wherever they feel like it. I have actually seen people throw stuff out of a car, stop and pick it up and then follow them and throw it back into their car. It is a pet peeve of mine, to say the least. |

quote: Last summer one of the TV channels were interviewing passengers boarding after touring Halifax. They were from Florida and it was surprizing that the most common comment was that everything was " so clean "... It seems as Nova Scotia is catching up to the modern day by raising a bunch of litterbugs... Kids from neighboring communities come to work at the fish plant on our road and throw fast food trash in our ditches, every year this gets worse but at least the locals clean it up rather than leave it to pile up... sorry to hijack the original topic |

I would have answered sooner,,,but I'm way behind in my websites and email readings. My brother's great grandchild passed away the other day, and I'm having to deal with our family's grief and associated problems at this point. |

If padroo had not started I'm sure we would stayed on course. Of course if he had just pulled the eject handle with his wife in the Prowler he would have knew what it was for and would not have asked the question in the first place.LOL |
