You'll either love it or hate it but go through the album of pictures showing how it was done.... http://www.lcars.com/galleries/prowler/p81.html |

I will say that the man knows how to work with metal, but a good part of what a prowler is about are the front wheels and 'That" look dj |

I actually like the the "look" and stance. I would personally complete the "look" and tackle the rear end also- JMO Love the step-by-step! |

There is a patent on putting this type of fender on a Prowler and I'm pretty sure it was assigned to Tom Gale. As I recall he applied for a patent on it way before the Prowler was ever released to the public. I've got a copy of the patent somewhere... ------------------ ProwlerStuff.com |

Hmmmm........different, but not my style. I don't think it does much for the car.......takes away from it. To each his own, though! |

There was a Prowler at Carlisle that could have used this. |

Sort of a 1930's art deco look, I like it. |

Maybe in a Black or Red Kat it would have set it out more. Love the craftsmanship too! |

I am a 30's car guy to the core.. I would have like to see the fenders carried back to the rear. This would have completed the package . Would have looked like a small running board.... Great skills. This message has been edited by Jim R. on 07-29-2009 at 08:45 AM |

I like it and the craftsmanship. One of the very few mods to the Prowler that, to me, looks good. ------------------ |

Fantastic metal work! Art deco style like a lot of the classic cars from the 30's. Needs running boards fading into larger rear fenders to complete the package, JMO. |

I don't like the bottom, back edge where it comes back into the body of the car. I think the running boards into the back fenders would have looked better. Still, the guy is extremely talented. I am on the fence about it. I would like to see it in person. |

I looked at this again this morning and after looking at ALL the photo's, I have to really appreciate the time, effort, and mostly craftsmanship that went into making these fenders. I think they look interesting and love the concept but think I will stick with stock on this part of my car. (for now anyway) |

bjprowler.......thanks for sending this to all of us. I appreciate when someone goes through the time and effort to do something like this. Also, I think it's pretty cool when you want to make your prowler different then all others....in JUST one way or another, you know, by personalizing it some way. In my opinion, what's really cool about this particular Prowler......say good bye to stone chips/dings and the fact that the guy did the fenders in steel vs. fiberglass (although fg would have kept the weight down). Would love to be able to have this kind of talent. One thing for sure....it's one of a kind!! |
