Being the owner of a Prowler and an SSR I collect items pertaining to both. Recently I found this really awesome sculpture of an SSR. I contacted the artist and he has graciously consented to make a sculpture of a Prowler. Would anyone be interested in buying a sculpture? The sculpture would be made with the top up due to the added time and difficulty ( and cost) of sculpting the interior of the car. The sculptures will not be made with the top down. I would like to get a number count of those interested. For the work involved we need to have a reasonable number made for this project to move forward. I believe 20-25 would be a reasonable number. The SSR sculpture is $50.00 plus $10.00 shipping. The artist accepts PayPal, money orders and personal checks. These statues would be ordered directly from the artist and payment would be made directly to him. |

I had dinner Friday night with the guy that made the SSR piece. It was for a birthday present for a SSR owner here in San Antonio. The size of the piece is 7.5" tall, by 8" long, 6" wide. The base is aprox 9"X7". It is available in bronze finish with patina, and antiqued pewter finish. To me it is certainly worth the $50.00. I believe he used a SSR model to amke a mold for the resin truck shape and hand sculpted the mold for the base. He has orders for about 2 dozen of them on the SSR forum. Seeing a Prowler one would be very cool. This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 11-02-2008 at 12:22 PM |

I presume it is made out of resin, according to Marty's post. I therefore presume it is fairly heavy. I would be interested in one. I would suggest he number them, 1 of 50 or 1 of 100 to make them more collectible. |

I'd like to suggest two things: 1) Make it without the front bumpers (easier to mold). 2) Eliminate the big rocky hill (beneath the truck) and replace it with Either way, I'm IN. |

Yes - the piece has some weight to it. I believe that "big rocky hill (beneath the truck)" was inspired by Chevy's commercial slogan "Like a Rock" This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 11-03-2008 at 08:35 AM |

I am in if it is on something other than a rock. Like Miami Kat said something more appropriate to a hot rod. |
