THANKS GUYS AND GALS?? Every little mod I do, puts a smile on my face from ear to ear. I've seen enough Kats with either the bumpers removed and have that custom look or painted. So, once I found a good painter and he assured me that if the paint don't match he would re-shoot, I was like, yea. More assurance was he said he does not like to re-do his work so he makes sure it's done right the first time, that sealed the deal. I've heard enough "HORROR STORIES", so I was hesitant going into this. Everyone I've talk to from different gatherings knows my concerns. |

Like I said, the front bumpers almost disappear. This is probably the single most dramatic change one could make to a Prowler! We did it to our 97 & haven't regretted it yet! This message has been edited by Ed W. on 12-05-2007 at 07:43 PM |

I agree that looksGREAT! Did you sand out the crease line or otherwise change the shape of the bumpers? |

Ed W. you are right about the bumpers almost dis-appearing. I get that a lot. I'm pretty much a "stock guy" and hated the idea of removing them but they did stick out like a sore thumb when "STOCK GREY" now they flow with the whole car since they match the flame job. And the answer to your question carguybill, the bumpers where sanded down and then a flex additive? was used to paint. Not sure what that means but I'm sure someone will chime in. I'm very please with the end results and thank everyone for the compliments. The car seems a little faster too since I painted the bumpers??? lol Or is it just the yellow color, as everyone knows is fastest!!lol ------------------ |

I think he is asking if they sanded the top and bottom of the bumpers flat. There is a "seam" where the front and back half meet. I did not have mine sanded before I had them painted (and then removed the bumpers after having the front end chromed). The painted bumpers are a huge improvement on any color. The kicker is that the silver cars have black bumpers and most black cars have silver bumpers. |
