I am talking with a manufacturer presently about building a Horizontal Billet Aluminum Grill, very similar to the factory grill. It will probably have more bars than the factory grill but will be a much nicer piece and will bolt in place in the factory location. I am trying to determine if there is anyone else interested in a grill like this. I have seen this manufacturer's work and it is beautiful.
Post if you have an interest. No pricing as of yet, but will be around what some of you have been paying to chrome the plastic one, and far less than some of you have paid for the vertical versions. Just testing the waters to see if there is interest.

If you add more bars to it, it could cause a cooling problem.

There will not be a cooling problem with this grill. Several of the other grills out there also reduce the total grill opening, and without any cooling issues. The Prowler receives a lot of air from underneath the nose as well as through the front. Thanks guys for some quick feedback. I would still like to hear from others as well.

Not sure who you're talking to. B-Cool Billet has done a grille similar to what you're describing. Their first one is on CJ's California Kid.

Sounds nice, are you thinking similar to the old ford grill look but just horizontal?

if you think the prowler gets a lot of air from underneath,
boy are you wrong.ive done extensive testing w.additional spoliers and boy youre wrong.the main air supply is thru the grille.

Thanks Guys. I appreciate everyone's feedback. I assure you ,that this grill will be Top Shelf in Looks and Quality. The company I am working with builds beautiful Street Rod stuff. Quality is second to none. Hope to have a proto-type to show soon. Grill can be had in brushed, polished or chrome finish, depending on the desired look you want and what you wish to spend. Price will be higher for polished and even higher for chrome. I think everyone understands that that is a given. I really appreciate all of the positive feed back as it gives me amunition to give to the manufacturer to hopefully keep the pricing as low as possible. I also think all of you understand the "quantity lowers the price concept". So I am doing everything I can, to help keep the pricing reasonable for everone. Keep posting your comments and I will keep you posted on progress.

Jim, I think there will be a tremendous market once folks can see a finished product. My three chrome grills sold out immediately with a waiting list if more became available or someone backed out. If it looks good, they will sell.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Mike.... I appreciate the vote of confidence. I'm certainly glad to see you are back with us..... we've all missed you buddy. Hope you can make my "08", Va. Beach event next year. I'm sure everyone will be pleased with the new grill product. I am very excited about it myself.
Jim
