Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a few weeks now but have not formally introduced myself. I just became a Prowler owner as of yesterday. Alleycat on the board here saw that I was looking for a car to purchase and set me up with an owner looking to sell. After a four-hour drive to Lincoln, Nebraska and another four-hour drive back home to Wichita, KS, I now have a shiny new (to me anyway) 2001 Mulholland. With only 5,000 miles on the odometer, they don't get much newer than this! After riding Harleys and choppers for the past 10 years or so, a couple of near misses with inattentive drivers has caused me to reevaluate my love for motorcycling. At this point, the risks outweigh the benefits. So I sold the bikes and set my eyes on a Kat. Thanks to Alleycat, I can now say I'm a member of this exclusive fraternity. In the time to come, I hope I can be a contributing member of this fine forum as I continue to draw on the experience and advice of others. Happy Prowling! JohnC · Kechi, KS |

Me too! I'm New. About two weeks old. 2002 candy red with 954 miles and counting. I also came from a motorcycle background and as soon as I got married it was mopeds and trikes only. After spending $40,000 on the best trike that I couldn't ride in the rain or cold. I knew it was time to up the game to a convertible - After looking for a long time- thru all the vettes, sl's, bmw's, jap crap, and cars that cost more to on then to buy- I knew the prowler was for me. I found one by surprise in fl, but it had the oxidation under the paint and rotten wheels - But thanks to this club and its members, I was steered away and on the prowl for a real car. First it was silver, then it was blue, then back to silver, cause I didn’t want to spend for the candy red. Then it was either a rough candy red or a newer silver until I found this one sleeping in WI. Boy am I glad I found the right one for me. Actually happy isn't the word. I actually go to sleep at night thinking what the front end is going to look like chromed. And how much, and is it worth it, and how do I tell the wife, and rob a bank, and sell blood, and all that kind of stuff. Needless to say I am hooked…and hooked real bad. Joe Cat |

Congratulations to both of you! Especially to John C. who had the insight to select the right color. But, as both of you know any color prowler is the best as long as it is a prowler. Pam and Tom |

I've had mine for 5 years now, and I still can't leave the garage without turning around to look at it one more time before going into the house. They are just the coolest cars ever made. Congratulations and glad to have both of you on board. |

Welcome to both of you and congratulations on your new cats! I think you should initiate your cats and yourselves by attending the Prowler 10th Anniversary / Woodward Dream Cruise 2007 event in August. There will be 160 Prowlers there and lots of great friends to make! ------------------ The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche. |

Third,,,,,Feel free to ask questions here,,,and add your input to any ongoing DISCUSSION FORUM topic. Post often!! John C,,,a couple of weeks ago,,,posted he was looking for a nice Prowler to buy. I have been holding a Ace of Spades [one owner, 5K miles, Mulholland cat] in my pocket,,,waiting for a buyer to come along. John C, being 300 miles away and not wanting a east or west coast car to transport home,,,,was the perfect candidate. At first,,,I wasn't sure the car hadn't already been sold,,,but a call to the owner verified the cat was still for sale. Hooked John and the seller up,,,and the rest is history! ENJOY the RIDES,,guys!!! ********************************************************* Snoman - may a diseased Yak, score with your sister |

After riding Harleys and choppers for the past 10 years or so, a couple of near misses with inattentive drivers has caused me to reevaluate my love for motorcycling. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Prowler is almost as bad. Get used to the fact that "gawkers" will pull along side of you, stare at your Kat all the while drifting in your lane. Welcome aboard to the largest group of smiles & adolescents in the world ! |
