I went to a cruise-in with about 13 others. I decided to take the Prowler because it was a very nice day. Most of the other guys that drove with me have Mustang Cobras and Vettes. Well I had a really hard time keeping up with them. They were not even giving their cars 100%, but I was. I love my Prowler to death and I will keep it as long as I am able but why did they not give us power? Ok I will stop crying now. I guess for these cruise ins I will have to take the Viper.

The Prowler was never known to be a "power house". It got it's reputation on style and good racy looks.

I agree. The sole reason I bought the car was because I feel in love with the style.

I cruised many times with Viper, Vettes + co. On the Autobahn, shure , there is a big difference. I run the Prowler on about 115m/ph on highway speed, the others can go a lot faster. But, cruising back roads + mountain streets "the quick way" was more a tracktion and handling thing. The Viperīs behind me did not run the corners as fastī as I did. The plus 500horses can get quick out of controle. LS2 Vettes with tracktion-control are good "all over" performer.
But, new Vettes, Vipers, Porsches,Lambos are sport and supersport cars. I see the Prowler not in this company.
To me, the Prowler belongs more into the "Hot Rod Corner."

Sir is right.
If you have a Prowler and get there last, the biggest part of the people will be looking at the Prowler.
You can only go fast in a few places, in the Prowler, you can look good all the time!

Thanks for the pep talk guys. I think that is what I needed more then anything else. I love my prowler but I get tired of the other guys picking on it cause its slow. I have the Viper and Cobra to go fast, the prowler is for cruising and having fun. I don't think they understand.

if i here the power thing again,im going to throw up.if you wanted more power buy a vette.one prowler will draw a crowd a vette or porsche wont draw anything.prowler owners bought
them because of the uniqesnes of the car and the timeless design.when another vette or whatever critizes the car for the v6,i just say,my car is worth the same as what i pd.for it .yours isn't.

"if i here the power thing again,im going to throw up.if you wanted more power buy a vette"

I stated that I own a Viper GTS. I also have a Cobra for racing! It's just hard to drive the Prowler and them at the same time. I was only saying that I wished others viewed the car as I do. I love the Prowler, as stated above, but I do wish they had stuffed a V8 in it. I agree that no matter how much I wish, complain, or bitch the engine will always be a V6. I was just venting because I was getting ragged on about it.

^ Thats crazy! I was not aware they had ever put a V8 in a prowler from the factory. It is a shame they crushed them. Those 2 cats would be worth a nice penny!

I agree - the Prowler is to look at and drive (I'll post about that later) , But......

I have Exhaust, Intake and now ordered the Gears. To me the Prowler is quick, not fast..... big difference. It will pull off the line on a lot of cars...I need to take mine to the track and see what it will do.

A good story I heard from a gentleman recently on why he bought a Prowler was he went to a Plymouth dealership in his Viper to look at a new Prowler. When he mentioned he was upset with the Auto and 6 Cyl, the owner of the dealership made him a bet - you park your Viper on one side of the entrance, I'll park my Prowler on the other. When someone looks at the Viper, I'll give you a five dollar bill, when someone pulls in and looks at my Prowler, you give me a five dollar bill.

He lost $240 dollars and now owns a Prowler - Orange too thank you.....

That's why you bought your Prowler... and me too....

Regards,

John
