You may want to get a spare input and output sensor for the transmission to carry with you, along with a 3/8 Drive Ratchet, 3 inch extension and 1 inch deep well socket. At the Atlanta show two weeks ago, one Kat had them fail coming to the show from AL and from what I understand another had them fail returning to FL. |

All the more reason to caravan (Prowl-a-van ). Everyone doese't have to have a spare set. NAPA has them in most every store. One set with 10 to 20 cars should suffice. I carry a set but Terry had left for Fl. early and did not have a list of cell #'s. Another lesson learned, phone # list when cruising together. The one from Alabama was caused by the paint color! LOL The sensor's were in shock at the reflection!! LOL |

And to top it off, after I read about the problem they had on the way back to Fl., I went to Advance Auto last weekend and bought another set. The first time it happen it was a shame, if it happen again and I didn't have a set, I would be "A-Shame". Even if your 10 miles from home, that is a long way in 2nd gear. ------------------ |

Gary, Eddie always carries flowers in Alabama. MeanGene, you can't wear those tight pants with those little J-hooks in each pocket. LOL Anyone heading out of Tulsa on Tue. or Wed. (6/19 or 6/20)towards Virginia. Our grand children have spoken and expect us to get to Suffolk on Thurs. or Fri. We will take the route through St. Louis, 64 on through Kentucky and down through Richmond. Will probably cover 450 to 500 mi. per day. Let me know. Have Trailer, Will Travel. Went to NAPA to get input & output sensors for the trip to Tulsa & they told me they don't have a listing for them. Should I call the dealer to get them? Does anyone have a part #.....Thanks, Mac |

You guys "jinxed" me!!! I was going to take your advice and pick up a set for the trip and guess what went out today?....Fortunately, I was only a mile from home.....I'll get a set in the morning but let this be a wake up call for those who are still putting it off....I'm just glad I wasn't half way to Detroit when it happened! Think I should get two sets? This message has been edited by bjprowler on 05-22-2007 at 05:38 PM |
