With the end of 2006 soon coming to it's conclusion, what was the one defining Prowler moment that made you glad to be a part of the Prowler Experience this year? It's a tough one to narrow it down to one with all of the events this past year. For me it was the picture taken by Tammy Knepper of Dave Mills as he watched his home being invaded by Kats-N-Friends. Now what was yours? This message has been edited by SirReal on 12-13-2006 at 11:05 PM |

I have to agree that that was a classic moment, just as the door opened. I sent you a PM for one I fondly recall but don't want to post. lol |

The large banquet dinner night during the 2006 Louisville event,,,taking notice of the friends we've met over the years, and meeting previous unmet owners that I've chatted with, ridiculed, and just plain admire on this forum board. For many, this past summer was the first time I've met some of you, and I'm humbled that we finally crossed paths. The car is what brought us together,,,but it's the people who keep us tight knit to build on friendships, sharing of information and ideas, and pointing towards tomorrow and beyond. |

Louisville (ALL of it) was fantastic! Ridin' the beer cart Prowlin' the Kettle Moraine, closely followed by a smaller group wine tour this year. |

When everyone left the hotel in Hotel after the Louisville event! : Just kidding. Memory #1) Having Prowlers completely circle the Kentucky Capital Building and passing other Prowlers as we exited. I wish we had an aerial photo of that! Memory #2) Driving away looking at my Prowler sitting in the parking lot in Minnesota when we dropped it off to Bob Goetz. Memory #3) Having local friends call me telling asking me if I knew there were hundreds of Prowlers in town - like I wouldn't know anything about it. |

Prowlin' the Kettle Moraine, our first Prowler group ride. All the PM's we received when we became members of POA this past summer. The look on Sno and Mrs. Freezes faces when we pulled up to their front door in our new Prowler. ------------------ |

SirReal... Great thread topic!
quote: As far as surprises go...I can imagine that is a day that Dave will never forget. That was so considerate of the ECP to show him how much they care about him.
quote: A/C sure did save me a lot of typing. Talk about words of wisdom...I didn't know you had it in you A/C!!! My year started off by having the opportunity to get a chance to meet the Krehel's and tour their truly beautiful home and Prowler museum. A time which I will NEVER forget!!! In addition to meeting up with a good portion of the ECP in Carlisle...it was then off to Louisville to meet up with SO MANY of the great people that make up the POA. I thought I was in Prowler heaven when I entered the parking lot of the Marriott that day. I mean from having dinner with Bradley one night and Dale the next. Geno and I trying to flatten out Chuck's tranny cooler cover. There was SO MUCH to do in such a little amount of time. So many people I met that I truly wish I had more time to spend with. I will do whatever it takes to make it to Tulsa next year! Thanks for the memories everyone!!! Brian This message has been edited by TooHipCat on 12-14-2006 at 10:13 AM |

quote: I would say they were all good. Any time you get to be with your Prowler friends is a good time. To get to see and help Steve Clark change the rear 1/4 one morning at the hotel, borrowing Gary C. canopy for protection from the rain, helping with the ones who's check engine light that came on. Jesse washing Phil's car with out moving it and carring buckets of water from one end of the parking lot to the other to keep it wet. There are always problems but for most we keep coming back and work thru the rain, conflicts and disappointments. This is what is the best part of the Prowler Group, everyone helping out. |

I think driving the Prowler to all the events we attended this year was THE defining moment(s) of 2006. The most emotional was giving a candy red Maisto to a young man in a wheel chair and seeing a big smile on his face and tears running down his parents cheeks. UNFORGETTABLE!! The biggest smile was when my brother and I turned onto Woodward Ave. on a beautiful Friday afternoon for our first pass on the strip. Yesterday I set up a DVD on another tv in the house and needed a disc to be sure it was working. Woodward Dream Cruise 2006 was handy so I popped it in to watch for a moment. Nearly 50 minutes later, and watching a couple parts of it a second time, a great event came back to life. If you have Woodward, or any of the other DVD projects from our great events, go back and take a look. You will be surprised at the moments you had forgotten. |

Was it when Genes car wouldn't start at the unveiling? Was it Jeffs car getting pigeon bombed at the Double T? No, No, that was just funny (Never park under power lines) Was it "bear left!, bear left! as noted above(I didn't bear left btw)? Was it getting pulled over with (correct me if I'm wrong)6 other kats for speeding and then getting off? Was it the look on Dave's face? Or was it when Jeff gave Dave a flauer arrangement.(priceless) It has to be Daves reaction to the surprise.

I would have to say reading about the PROWLER ride for the lady who was fighting cancer and just recently passed away. I think that would qualify for the best 2006 memory honor. Talk about sacrifice, dedication, and caring attitudes for the Prowler owners who made that dream come true so close to the end of a person's life. Not only did she get to ride in a PROWLER but she got HER CHOICE of which PROWLER she wanted the CRUSE in. Talk about a FANTASTIC thought to enjoy during your last days on earth. And the tears of joy for her friends and family who were there to share one of the final moments in her life. Sincere "ATTA BOY'S" and "GOLD STARS" to the parties who made that possible. But that's not why people like that give their time and share their earthly things with others. They do it because, lest we forget, IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO and THE LOVING THING TO DO. GOD BLESS!!!! |

It had to be at about 1am at woodward when a certain prowler owner and a very very enamored hotel manager were arm in arm gazing at the stars in the parking lot of the hotel...priceless. |

How can you possibly pick one memory? Every event we have been to beginning with the Grand Canyon has held more memories than we could possibly remember!! All the fun we've had on each event and all the great friends we have made are why we continue to host and attend the Prowler events. Here's hoping it never ends!! I have to agree with adacus, however. The most memorable thing I have been able to do with my Prowler was to give Joanne Peters her last wish.....a ride in a Prowler. It was so moving to see her so thoroughly enjoying herself......yet so heartbreaking to see her lose her battle with cancer. Reminds me every day how lucky I am. |
