Ok, now that I have you here, tell me what you might think about getting a transporter to haul ours cats to Tulsa, Oklahoma in June. Is it worth it? How many would do it and fly there? Please, please, I beg of you, tell me what do you think. How big is the truck that hauls the cat's? How many cat's can we put on a truck? Who do we get to haul our cat's? What will it cost per cat? With all these questions, you can see why I need help. Is there more questions we need to know? Do we all meet at one place and load them there? INPUT PLEASE. ------------------ This message has been edited by meancat on 10-31-2006 at 10:32 PM |

Jerry, I know I am not in Michigan, but I peaked at the post anyway. We are looking into this for the Ontario guys already, so perhaps we could team up for a cross-border deal. We expect to have 5-6 from Ontario and we would have to pass through Michigan anyway. I was supposed to get quotes back last week but have yet to hear. |

Wayne, good to know. Keep me posted. I had hoped this would be an option. I fall a sleep a lot while driving. So I try to fly when I can. I guess if you want, you can tell the other Canadians they can look also.(But NO one else) ------------------ This message has been edited by meancat on 10-31-2006 at 10:35 PM |

Our current plan is to trailer the cat to Tulsa! Pam and Tom might be interested, we were just talking about that today. |

I am not from Michigan either, but I will be trailering my kat out. Over the years we have had some really good times on these trips just getting there. Getting there really is half the fun! |

Wayne and Meancat ... if you are doing "pick ups" along the way .. then that might enable us to go since we don't want to take two cars to get all four of us there. Please keep me posted as well if Chicago could be a stop along the way after the great state of Michigan?? |

For whatever its worth post: A guy bought a Acura NSX recently,,,and was having it transported across the country in an enclosed, large transporter. Transporter was in an accident, and went over on its side. Cars inside totaled. Can we afford to lose 8,,10,,,12 Prowlers? The rest of us will need parts someday >>>> transport them!!! I know the odds are slim,,,,,,,that's what the NSX guy said also. Just something to ponder. Make sure the transporter is really insured,,,,not self-insured,,as many are. Self insured means you lose it all.......... |

If you hire a transporter to take them there and bring them back, then don't you also have to pay the driver for the entire week? |

TUIB, Who in the world would put their car in a trailer like that? Look at the tow vehicle and the bad tires on the trailer?!?! |

Mayor - by all means,,,,transport your cat. Just make sure the transporter is INSURED,,,,,is the point I was trying to make. I'd hate to have you show up in Tulsa,,,,and there be a new rope from HomeDepot awaiting you for a lynching on the first tree some p/o owners could find. Check out the shipper real close,,,,don't overlook the small print or their BS. Price alone sometimes is a bad decision.
