Does anyone know where or what a set of "small" side mirror could be on that looks like the miror on the Prowler? Sea-do, snow mobile, or what. I want to put a set on the gokart I'm building. Thanks

Piddler Try this link they come in chrome or black that you can paint. Look in sellers other items. Or do a search for Motorcycle mirrors or motorcycle fairing's I have sold a lot of motorcycle mirrors to hot rod guys. Hope this helps. Thanks guys, Toy, thanks for the link, but the mirror is to long. It said that the mirror was 5 1/2 long then the stem. I know I could cut the steam off, but looks like the over-all would be 7+ inches. Been thinking about what do, about worn the internet out looking. I think I'm going to look at some small driving-fog lights. I might be able to find a set in a housing, take the light out and put a mirror in. Also been trying to find a set of mags in 6". The ones I found are not made to be used as a pull wheel. I have one on order so I can see if it can be bored out and weld a insert in to make it a pull wheel. This is the wheel I think I want http://www.rnrfabrication.com/6astro.htm I have pictures of the project as it is being built. When I get it finish, I will post the pictures. ------------------ |

Looking good. I may have to get some advice from you when it comes time to do my go cart body work. That's not my thing. I'm into the mechanical stuff. |

There are a number of Ride-On toy car outfits, which may be willing to sell you the side mirrors seperately from one of their cars. You would have to contact them and ask. Here's an example: http://www.babyride.com/656224.html |

Here is my progress on this, Thanks Kraut, I followed your lead on the toy people, after a few calls I found a set I could buy. They came from a company called the Dorel Juvenile Group. If any of you want to get a set I can give you more info with part numbers. Just got them painted this evening. After I get them shined-up, I'll post a picture with them on the cart. |

OK, while I'm at it, here is what I had to do to get the rear wheel on. Knocked the bearing out, then bored the center of the wheel out to 1 5/8 then welded the slug you see in the picture in. After it was welded I bored it out to 1" and put a 1/4 key in it. |

OK Guys, going to bring this post back to life since 16 years ago. Going to do it again. This time it is going to be Pearl White to go with Perl. Just finish a little Honda, now I was boarded. Had this Baby under a outside shed for about 17 years. Kinda like a barn find. Time for it to be reborn. Been looking and ordering parts, but now down to the mirrors. I can't seem to pull anything from the links or part numbers from 15 years ago. Has anybody put any mirrors on there go-kart in the last 5 years or so, ago, that might have a good part number or site to buy them. I will find a set somewhere, but that could take days as slow as I am on the computer. I will post more pic as I progress with Young Perl. ------------------ |

Was looking as how I was going to do the muffler, thinking I need to be in there looking for mirrors. Then something told me to get on top of the office storage, and look in a nasty looking envelope. Open it and there was 2 extra fenders for the peddle car, and 2 MIRRORS for the gokart. Boy thats a load off my mind. Carried the frame to the sandblasters today, might get it back in a week or so. Also got the decals ordered. This message has been edited by Piddler on 05-02-2022 at 09:19 PM |
