Well, It's 1:30 in the morning and we are just crashing after watching the fire burn for 4 hours. Jeff(Sirreal), Betty Ann, WildBill and myself were the diehards. After a great presentation and cruise to Washington, DC we ended up back at the ranch for a great evening. Plenty of pictures to follow I am sure. 18 Kats in all today.
In my front yard!

Made it home safe. Great weather and great people!!!

Had a great weekend and thanks to Gary and Tammy for opening up their home and and to all of us. And a BIG thank you to Jeff "Nutman" Nutter for putting on the show and orchestrating this whole event. Also that to Wild Bill for the East Coast Posse Deputy Badges! What a great party.

And last but not least, Gary's and MeanGene's Prowlers are awesome! The guy who painted Gene's Kat is a real artist. Both Gene and Jeff put a lot of time and $$$ in those Prowlers and it shows.

Oh, before I forget, Gary has a few parts left over that he can't figure out where they go on his car after rebuilding it...he may put them on ebay!!!

What a great weekend! The weather couldn't have been better. Thank you Gary & Tammy for opening up your house (and yard) to all who attended. Mean Gene, your car is awesome, it seemed to get better as we cruised. Gary, your "throwback" theme to the mighty Mopars of the 60's and the detail work is super. A special thanks to Jeff for all his hard work for the unveiling and the picnic and bonfire. What a job! The East Coast Posse ceremony was excellent (thanks for the badges Wild Bill). The presentation of the flag to Dave and Brenda along with the salute to veterans was very touching capped off with the visit to Arlington...whew! You touched everyone, especially me. Bob Miller did a super job with the maps and directions. We couldn't control the traffic & lights but then what is a Prowl without adventure? This was one of the best Prowlin' weekends ever. It sure was good to see so many old friends and relax and kick back by the bonfire, eat pizza, drink a beer or two and just have fun. Thanks everyone!

A nice evening around the campfire

Thank You Jeff for the outstanding presentation. You went above and beyond on this one. Will you be running for Sheriff soon? lol
WildBill, the bades were awesome
Bob, the maps were the best detail I've seen yet. Way to go.

The campfire was also very cool. I haven't roasted a marshmellow since I was a kid.

Wow! What a weekend! I would like to thank everyone for immediately making Abby and I (the newbie’s) feel like part of the family. We returned home with much to talk about. The cars were great! But, having the pleasure to meet such a great group of people made our trip fantastic! My only regret is not having the chance to meet everyone.

Gary and Tammy… thank you for preparing, and opening your beautiful home and making us feel welcome. I don’t think I would have been able to ask a bunch of people to park on my lawn without shedding a few tears. Were you awake when WildBill left Sunday morning? He was dying to do some donuts...somewhere.

Jeff and Betty Ann...Thank you for all your hard work in making this a memorable experience. It was MUCH more than I expected! You did a great job! Jeff, weren’t there supposed to be some dancers or something? LoL!

Bob thanks for all your planning. The maps and directions were awesome! Did we pass the Empire State building along the way? LoL! Seriously though, maneuvering 18 cars through DC and back couldn’t have been an easy job, but you did it.

And WildBill (AKA Sheriff WildBill) among the many other things you’ve done. The badges were a cool added touch. Thanks.

I know I couldn’t have carried out any stage of this event as well as you folks did! Thanks.

MeanGene or Gary...Since you guys are all done with your kats...if your looking for another project let me know. I'd be willing to part with my kat for a couple months. Only to prevent you from getting too bored. The cars looked great!

Sometimes it hard to say "Thank You". You realize the level of effort, the attention to detail, and the little things that make the difference in an event being successful or not. All the little things added up for me last weekend, and as it turned out - everyone I think, had a great time.

To give you an example of the little things needed for this event to be "wildly" successful - all of these had to happen:

- Jeff (SirReal)and Betty Anne for providing the "setup" - food, tents, door prizes, lights, fog machine, and the World of Wheels car display
- Gary (MDProwler) and Tammi "allowing" this event to happen at their house, putin' up the guys overnight, and having Kat lawn ornaments, campfire in their front yard!
- In order to have door prizes and giveaways, CJ had to rush an order of Prowler cups to Jeff
- Marty Usher had to send his fenders(brackets included) to me - in order for me to have mounted fenders
- WildBill had to design/create/manufacture all of the Posse badges - no small feat - with two weeks notice
- Bob Miller for creating and publishing route maps for the D.C. portion - we needed this - traffic was a nitemare
- Al , from my painter/designer at C4Grafix , offered to haul my Kat to the event - not often a option - plus delivering on time

I'm sure I missed some things myself.

Just wanted to say "Thanks - for everything!"

Thank you all for the kind words but thank you most of all for coming! We had four states represented.

Gary and Tammy thank you for opening your Home to us. It was a perfect setting!

Jay and Nancy Harris thank you for donating the Shimmers. They were a big hit! The Shimmers was the Top Prize and Stevedymo was the lucky winner.(Mom asked me today what I wanted for my Birthday and I gave her your business card and told her a chrome radio bezel Shimmers. I saw one on Myrons Molly and it is beautiful!)

CJ and Phil thank you for the extra effort to get the Prowler mugs made and shipped in time and intact. These mugs are really cool and a must have for Kat owners.

Bob Miller thank you for all the work that you put into the D.C. Cruise. The pre-cruise cruise and the guide maps were a lot of work and appreciated.

WildBill thank you for the Cool ECP badges and doin' the Deputizin'. Great Job Brother! See you in Princeton!

Marty Usher that was really cool what you did! Gene's fenders are beautiful and would have been a loss if they couldn't have been shown.

Mom and my sister Kim thank you for all of your help setting up the food tent and more.

Betty Ann thank you for taking a vacation day Friday and helping with the rigging and prep and also for calming my nerves when my plans got altered.

God, thank you for such a beautiful day and surrounding me with such great family-friends that mean so very much to me. Amen

All I have to say is that I had an absolute BLAST! Everything came together so perfectly. The weather was the first tip to what the weekend was going to be like. It was originally suppose to pour the whole time, but as it turned out, you couldn't have wished for better weather.
It was great to meet the new owners & catch up with all of my old friends. The Kats are an awesome piece of machinery, an icon, but it is the people that make the POA what it is. The friendships that I have gained are truly immeasurable.

It started off great with the trip down Friday with DanMan & Abby, Pete & Mary Ann & Sharon. Then the dinner that night & the cruise night with the vintage race films on a giant inflatable movie screen.

Gary & Tammy - Thank you for making me feel welcome in your home & all you put up with for the whole event. You have a beautiful home & an awesome garage!
Gary - You did a great job with the paint under the hood, no stone was left unturned. I know you went through great efforts & it showed. The LEDS were a great touch & really innovative.

Jeff & Betty Ann - Thank you for such a great event! You really outdid yourself. Your World of Wheels display, strobes, disco lights, the smoke machine, with the 2001 Space Odyssey playing in the background. I don't think anyone could have gone into more detail & effort. All of the food & festivities, & you didn't accept any help. I especially loved the ambiance of the Old West camp & in keeping with the theme of the Posse with the bon fire & the 2-Dimensional tent Please let your Mom & Sister know we all appreciate their help. Incredible job Brother! Betty Ann didn't want the night to end.

MeneGene - Beautiful job on the Kat man. You had the design kicking around in your head for a while. I am so glad your dream finally came true, you did not skip any details. Well... Accept the prop-rod for your hood... I still think you could have at least sanded it. I got some great photos of her, even under speed, I will post them soon. Jeff I am sorry - Jim, Gary & I had to look at Gene's Kat before the event... It was the only way to help him put the fenders on. We never looked at Gary's though & respected your wishes on that.

Marty - Great save with the fender brackets

Bob Miller - Great job with the DC Cruise! Really nice choice with the route & now that I had the chance to look in my Kat color-matched folder. You went into great detail all of the information you included was incredible. Really nice map! Glad I wasn't reading it all while I was driving, I would have ended up running over that Crack-whore Can't wait to cruise with you again! The camp fire was a blast too. It's always nice to take the time to get to know your friends better!

Wayne & Hattie Thank you so much for joining us on this event. Your Kat has been gone for a couple of years now, but your spirit truly lives on. You will always be a part of us & our friendship will never end. That is why you deserve the ECP Spirit Award. I was glad we got to share breakfast together Sunday morning before I departed, it was an unexpected treat.

Myron the Kat looks great! I really love what you did with your door panels!

Uncle Dave - I had nothing to do with your birthday.

It was really a great event & I can't wait to do it again.

WildBill
