hello everbody,my name is Resa i live in west germany,22 years old and drive an Honda del Sol SiR.Hope this forum will help me....

years ago and on my last trip to america i saw my dreamcar, the Plymouth Prowler.
It is my wish to bought one.
It is hard to find one,but when you search you find here some one.
My problem is to get more information, the only thing i know is that the prowler engine is an 3,5L V6 with 253HP and that the production is finished after 6years of producing the prowler.
It would be great when you can wrote which advantages and typical disadvantages the prowler got!
How about the engine, transmission, clutch, electric and dryness with the roof?
What have you got to look for when you will buy one?
How are the prices for the replacement parts and is it hart to get them?

Hope you can help me.

best regards,Resa

Hope you can get you one.
You have found the "Prowler" site of sites.
Use the "search" button, any question you have,

Strongly suggest you read "The Prowler Story" and the "Facts & Stats" sections on the opening page for the web site and many questions will be answered. Then use the "search" for any topic you want to review all previous discussion and posts. Good Luck in your search.

@Piddler: And which improvements were done?

I have to disagree with Piddler. There is not that big of a difference. 2000 and newer have a slightly softer suspension, have the computer gadget in the rear view mirror. I have a 99 and an 02 I don't see that big of a deal between the two. Others might disagree. Pick the color you like and go for it.

great but i doesn't want to know if you would ship to germany and what it will be cost!

I can not imagine that such a rare car like the prowler has got no problems,ok here in germany nobody knows something about Plymouth, there engines and other things,i know the brand only from american gangsta Movies! But it is for me unrealistic...
Has anybody big pictures of the engine room?

There are a few problems. A lot of the rims had peeling chrome inside the barrel of them. Some had bad filler tubes for the petrol but there was a change in design. The tranny sensors are a weak link, but not everyone has had a problem. They are easy and cheap to replace. Some have had tire sensor problems with the run flat tires. There are some with window regulator problems but not a lot of those, either. Any car can have a problem. Some folks have never had a single problem and others have had several problems.
All of those possible problems and it is still a car you would want to buy, for sure.

del Low, did you read this post on the Prowler Owners meeting in France?

I have also read that if you purchase a vehicle from a dealer in the US then it is easier to have them export it rather than purchase from a private party.
