I do not experience this. My guess is that you have a gas leak somewhere

The car only has 11,000 miles?
I don't see anything on the garage floor?

I'll ask the silly questions:
Are you topping off your tank? Don't.
Are you making sure your gas cap has clicked at least three times? Do.
Does it smell after sitting in the hot sun or garage? Could be cold fuel from station (deep in ground) heating up and expanding into the vapor canister?
Could be a vapor recovery hose came loose?

Thanks for the help
I don't top the tank off.
right now it's at 1/2 tank it doesen't seem to matter how much fuel is in the tank.
I know the cap is tight.

where is the vapor recovery hose?

Don't drive your car and have it checked. An unrelated story. I smelled gas coming from my stove. I called the appliance company and they sent out a service rep who could not detect any leak.

I still smelled the gas. I then called the gas company. There service rep checked the stove and immediately found the leak. He turned off the gas going to the stove. He then said the stove might of exploded. The moral of this story. Please get your car checked out by a qualified technician.

No more gas smell

It was the large nut on top of the gas tank
I removed the access cover on top of the tank Started the car
and you could see the gas weep through the top of the nut.
it was't very tight? I removed it with my hands!
I replaced the O-Ring while I had it apart and put everything back together. No leak

I want to thank you guys for the help
much appreciated

Thanks Butch

Remove the carpet in the rear storage area and undo the bolts holding on the fuel pump access panel (just behind the driver) My guess is you will see stains from fuel leaking from the O Ring gasket just under the large (about 6" diameter)black plastic ring that seals the fule pump.

The O ring could be pinched or torn. It will quit leaking at about 1/4 tank. The O Ring is about a $8.00 part plus labor if you don't have a tool to remove the black plastic ring.

Good luck
