Has anyone ever went to the OLD TOWN CRUISE with their Prowler?

Looks like next week I will be loading the Prowler into the big red box and heading to Florida.

1st stop Acworth, Georgia to stay at a friends house (my buddies sister that is towing the car down for me)

Looks like we will unload in Georgia and drive on down to my moms place in Winter Haven.

We will go to visit Dave and Nancy Ridge one day and was thinking of going to the old town cruise in on Friday night if they will let me in with the Prowler.

So if you see a WildCat on the roads in Florida or Georgia it is just me

Larry, Call me to let me know what time I need to be ready. I have had the flu for 5 days. I can't go visit anyone, I will kill them with the germs. My mom is in a Rest Home so I can't go there, my kids all have kids so I can't visit with them. Sandy's dad is taking chemo and his immune system is currently shot. I am awake for 3 or 4 hours and then sleep fitfully for 2 or 3 hours.
I now see how old people die from the flu.
Thanks for entertaining me here on the POA.
By next week I will be fine and only sleeping 14 hours a day. lol

Larry,

Let me know when you have specifics. I'd like to stop by if I'm in town. Acworth is not that far.

Ed - I heard from Taco Bell this morning,,,,,he also has been sick all week. He's got it bad,,,,,,down for the count and sleeping all day to fight it. He's letting all of his family and friends come over today for the annual Bell, free meal x-mas dinner,,,and plans to infect them all with his sickness, lol. He was worried about Howard posting his OBIT, since he hasn't been posting this week

Get well soon.

Larry Mayes - you planning to see Rich and Linda Ware in Acworth? Sounds like a great trip,,,,,Prowler cruising out of the snow/cold belt!!

....not exactly sure what kinda "creepin' crud" I have had, but I have slept as much as 22 hours a day for several days and up to 18 hours a day for the last week....don't hurt, don't feel bad, just can't get off the couch....feel pretty good today and I have been awake since 9am :..... I was honestly afraid Howard would post my Obit to gain control of the "useless posting enterprise" I have worked so dilligently to protect...."the Lucid Eye" has even licked my feet(now he is sick too) trying to bring me back from the brink of extinction....the useless fleabag was no doubt worried I would kick off and he couldn't open the cabinet door to get to the Ken'l Ration......

Tangled, every morning check your feet for "toe tags" and if you also have a wooden pillow behind your neck you are in deep doo doo. I have been sick but I only sleep 2 hours at a time. Wake up and either feel great for 30 minutes and then crash or wake up feeling awful and an hour later feel better. I didn't miss your useless trivia since I never knew the answers even after the answers were posted. lol

Don't know if there will be any money left for you, Ed. I've been collecting it for 6 years now. And I hear they are just about out of money. Hope I get all of mine before you become a drain on the system!!!! LOL

Hey Wildcat: Stop by Don Garlits Museum south of Ocala, give me a time and I might get over to meet you. That is about 15 miles from The Villages, I'll bring The Orange Peeler over, if it works out. Love to meet you since I met TUIB in Indiana and had some of that down home hospitality, time to repay a Hoosier. Jim

Just got home....would like to have met up with some more people but timing didn't work out.

I didn't get to look at the computer except at Nancy & Dave Ridge's house. Talked to Rich Ware and even though we were in the same town with him working and the rain on Wed. (car in box) we didn't get together. What is a normal 8~9 hour drive took 12 hours so each night it was after 9 before we got into Acworth.

The trip out of Florida was quick in the cat. I was in Winter Haven and my car hauler was in St. Pete, we were to meet up at noon on Sunday at Wildwood, only to get a call that my buddy took off from St. Pete early so on the road in the cat FLYING LOW to meet up, load the car and head north.

4 old people in crew cab dually with 460 getting 6.5 mpg and holiday traffic makes it hard to make any time

It cost us a lot for gas to be able to drive the cat in Florida for 400 miles but I enjoyed getting it out and driving with TOP DOWN on New Years Eve. I had several people ask WHY WOULD YOU PULL THE CAR TO FLORIDA, they said I was too cheap to rent a car down there........heck we could have almost flown the 4 of us down and rented 2 cars for the cost of the gas, but driving the car for the 1st time in 2006 was PRICELESS

I didn't see a single Cat on the trip except for Dave Ridge when we went to dinner on Friday night. My buddy seen a Purple one in Tampa on Saturday.

Well time to get ready for work tomorrow, hope everyone had a Happy New Year

Larry: Sorry we missed you on this trip. If I can hook up with a Mulholland trailer I will bring "Blew Buyou" to Indiana next Oct., instead of the PT. Wife's Cat is Orange Peeler. 392 HEMI said it!! Jim
