Front shocks list at $83.00 each. Just bought two for $64.00 each. Local Dodge dealer. Big price drop. Koni's complete with springs attached. Not sure which is the part #. 5264892-AA or 17023003.

Are you sure? I checked into this about a year ago with the hopes of "sofening up" my '99. At that time each shock and coil spring set up were SEVERAL hundred dollars each ....

I know a Prower owner last week who installed a set of front shocks. Dealer had two prices $64 & $342. My friend
owns a paint & body shop & asked for a better price.
He paid $50+.

Just had mine replaced under maxi care war. Dealer told me the shocks were much less than last year. Approx. $90 each with springs. Stay tuned is correct. If you have not checked them out recently do so.

I just called my local Dodge dealer and he quoted $76 for shock pn#5264892-AA. However, the other pn#17023003 was not a good number. Special order 3-5 days.

Ok, I called back to Dodge and they were not sure if it is a Koni shock. However, my daughter called Koni and they gave her the PN#8240-1169 to use on a 2001. To double check she asked tech service to make sure this was the shock that came stock on the 2001. They said that it was stock on most of the 2001's but not all. The pn they provided her with is the front shocks w/o the mounting bushings, the OE bushings will have to be reused. Koni sells the shocks for $188.00, but they said getting them from a dealer would be better pricing.
