Friends, the day has come. It is with a crushed heart I have to tell you my Prowler is sold. There have been sooooooo many memories and friendships I have made with this car. If it wasnt for this car, I wouldnt have met my beautiful wife. In fact, we had the first and only "Prowler Wedding" that I know of, and It will be our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY this saturday the 11th. We met through Fred and Debe Henkle on the "Big Wave Dave" event. She and I had planned to take the car out of town for a romantic weekend. There have also been wonderful memories with my daughter in this car. Countless memories that she and I will treasure for a lifetime. There are events, trips, hours on the POA,HOURS AT THE MUSEUM.....I could go on..... This will be a tough night for me to sleep. My wife has promised me we can buy another one "in time"...... She and I have started one of my dreams of owning my own body shop. Since leaving the dealership, I no longer have a Demo and the Prowler had become my daily driver. I really need a truck for the shop and the "prowler truck" just wasnt working for me so we have to sell. I will stay in touch with good friends we have met, I promise that. But going to an event in a Pick up????? Nah.....I think I'll pass. I think I'd probably go to tears. POA has been such a part of my life since Feb 2000...............Good night all. I'll be crossing my fingers the deal falls through, all the while, knowing I need it to sell!!!! Maybe I'll hit the lotto and can have my cake and eat it too??? Mr & Mrs "Kozican" |

Koz: So sorry to hear you had to sell, but you will always be part of the Prowler family!!! Don't you have a key to Mike's? Go on over and sneak one out the back - it might take him a couple of days to notice one missing!! Seriously, if you ever need to borrow one, mine's available to you and Jacquie!!! Make sure and stay part of the POA!! You'll have another one again in no time - good luck with the new business - we wish you great success! Don, Sorry you are having to part with your car. Sometimes it's necessary to part with one dream to achieve another. And you're not having to part with all the friendships you made, just the thing that started them. I'm sure you will be successful in your Body Shop venture because anyone who can work for a Dealership as long as you did, and left on your own terms, knows what it takes. Thanks for the hospitality and friendship you extended to me on Curtis' Victory Tour. Best wishes, Buddy. |

I have a BAD case of sellers remorse today!!! Took it for its last drive this morning. Sure enjoyed that top down!!!! If anyone was wondering.........bought it in Feb 2000 wrecked with 1900 miles for 24k. Fixed it with all new parts for 4300.00.Drove it 55,000 smiles(has 57k on it now) and it sold last night for 29k. Not bad if your just looking at a CAR. However........The Prowler just isnt a CAR! Its a PERSONALITY all on its own! Im in the market for another wrecked one in about a year. So....if you see or hear of one, a1collision04@aol.com is where I can be found. Luv you guys......your the best!!! |

Don - I can fully understand your parting with the Kat in order to help the business start up - but you cannot part with your Prowler friends. Your family is always welcome at any get together we have. It's not just the cars. It's us sitting around a table in a restaurant talking about what we all do everyday. The Kats got us all together, and maybe most of us arrived in our Kats, but it's the friendships we have built that keep this group together. What's wrong with arriving in a truck!!!! I went to Curtis' gget together in my pickup. Lord knows I won't drive the Kat in the rain anymore!!!! We EXPECT to see ya'll at our next event! Good luck with your venture and I know you will be prowlin sooner than you think! |

Don, you'll never be without a Prowler for events that you may want to attend, there is mine and Debe's at the house. ANY TIME, you need a "fix", just call and one of them is yours to drive and that's a fact Jack!! As long as I own even one, you'll have one in the background... Your friend, ------------------ |

Where in the world will you ever find a group of people like this group here...and to think all of this comes from a common interest in a car!! You are ALL great people..and I'm thankful to get to say I have an association, even if only by occasional posting..with some of the great people who make up the POA!!!
You WILL have another one...just keep the faith and hope alive. Best wishes on a successful business venture!! And as I said before...what a great group of POA people on THIS site!!! Jim This message has been edited by prowlrman on 06-10-2005 at 03:15 PM |

Don, Just returned from Power Tour and trying to catch up on reading posts. Just saw this.........sorry to hear you decided to sell, but certainly for good reasons. But like others have said.......just because you don't have the cat doesn't mean you don't have all the same friends!! Best wishes and good luck on your new business venture and Happy Anniversary! |
