How accurate is the outside temperature which can be read on the mirror? Also, where is the temperature sensor located . |

Not sure where the sensor is but it's accurate. I see it drop when I get near the cool water...it's very responsive and doesn't spike when parked in hot sun, so the sensor location must be pretty good. |

I was wondering what that sensor up there is for. Mine is a '97, so I don't have the in-mirror temp indicator. I wonder why I have the sensor. |

Can the mini trip/temp mirror be easily retro fit for the earlier Prowlers without them?~Robert |

What if I just wanted to use the compass and temperature gauge in my 97, is that possible? I can see that the trip tools would be difficult, but is it possible to get just temp and compass? Thanks in advance! Dave |

Dave - there are some aftermarket mirrors on the market that show compass direction and possibly temp. Research them out from magazines or internet search. |

Thanks for the reply, AC. I've seen the aftermarket mirrors, but they don't have the same mount as ours. I believe the factory option is the only one. I'll work on it and will see what I can work out... Dave |
