I contacted RB´s Obsolete Auto inc, who delivered lots of street rod parts for me about custom bumpers for the Prowler. I dont like the plastic rear ones, they look like average new car stuff. I like to see a little bit more Street Rod look on the rear and showed them a photo what it should look like. They contacted the manufacturer BRIZ. Briz has (maybe) patterns and they can make custom hot rod alu bumper for the Prowler. Pricing will start at 289.00 More Info will follow next week. |

Here are pics of what I offer for those not knowing, they are a bit more money but you get new bumpers and rear pan. I have orders in house right now for 5 sets and should have these filled in the next 4 weeks ( Sorry for the delay guys & gal ) just got the first of 5 sets back from chrome and they are awesome. I have to run these 5 sets at a time and have someone on the fence right now for a set, when I have orders for 3 sets in house I will run 5 more sets. ------------------ |

Couple observatiuons ... 1st, I do like the thicker design of the ones on the yellow Kat, but would love it if the attachement bolts were not showing on the outward side ... any way of asking the vendor to look into that if possible? 2nd, The pricing seems down right 'fair' on those um, table edge bumpers! 3rd, if someone wanted a whole new belly pan and all, then Bob's solution is a great alternative and Lastly ... if that pic of the yellow Kat was taken in Germany ... I am impressed that it is a Wendy's sign that we see and NOT a McDonald's one!!! |

Cool. Great price too. I really like Bob's chrome bumpers ALOT, but these are a great low priced alternative. And better still, I found matching bar stools |

I will put some pics on in late march when I put them on. Then I will see how it looks and if it fits to the style and Prowler color. I´m not very happy with the org. ones, and with org front bumpers on I would not drive my Prowler. The front ones do not fit in the design of the car and to many people ask me then if it is a Kit Car. For the rear I like to go in the direktion of the rod builder like chip foose, and try the alu bumper on the alu prowler. I was thinking about a rearpan as an alternativ but I have not seen a prowler in live so fare. ( maybe soon in usa) I like to see the rear axles (polished) on the Prowler. You will see lots of Briz Bumper on pre 49" Street Rods and Leadsleds / Customs , and hot rod pick ups. So, if you are more into Hot Rods than into sport cars ( what is the prowler not !) you know where the Briz is coming from... >>>>>>>>> ... the pics are taken in auto-toy store, sunrise blvd, FT Lauderdale and yes, we had years ago wendys in Germany but they were taken over by pizza hut + burger king. Hey Bob, If I am the one mentioned "on the fence", then I am about ready to get off the fence and get those bumpers and pan on my car. If I am not the one you were refering to, chalk me up for being ready, almost, I think, maybe, I don't know, probably, I hope!! Let me know what you need from me. As I have told you before, I GOTTA have them. ------------------ |

The ribbed bumpers are similar to the late 50s Plymouth bumpers that were a favorite on cars such as 50s Mercury and/or Ford customs. You need to get you old Rod and Custom Magazines out. |
