Hey Gang,

I thought y'all might be interested in this. A Prowler ('99 yellow) made the cover of "100 years of the American Auto."
This book (640 pages) presents a pretty complete pictoral history of the American auto starting in 1893 with horseless carriages and ending in 2000. Many production figures, option info and interesting facts are included. The Prowler has more than it's fair share of pages.
I have really enjoyed this book and I think you will too. I found it at Sam's Club but it is probably also available at places like Amazon.

LOL...Keep in mind, the book cuts off at 2000, the Fabulous 2001 Mulholland Edition wasn't made yet, otherwise I'm sure we know which color would have made the cover...

I saw that same book at BORDERS a month ago...

Lavka, you're right, the orange wasn't out yet at the time of printing.

Excellent. I like the image our kats are developing in many circles. Of course we already know the prowler is a classic.
Thanks for the news.

Things at Sams usually are only there for a few days to a week. Get there early or they will be gone. They do not seem to re-stock any unique items. One order and that is it.

It's about time these beautiful autos started getting there way overdue place in the automotive heritage of this country. Few auto collectors and so called experts have taken the time and effort to really attempt to understand just how truly "trick" these vehicles really are. Real thought processes must take place not just reading stuff written by other so called experts. I've seen and heard just about all the negative "press" I care to . I've spent a lot of money and a great deal of time over the last 4+ years in an effort to educate at least some people as to the true excellence of this vehicle. Sometimes it's a lost cause but I've been there before and I'm to hard headed to quit now. It's really nice to see this finally creeping into the car crazy publications, that means maybe someday this car may become a true vehicle of stature as it deserves to become in my opinion. All of us need to keep knocking on all the doors and do our part to educate the masses and especially the so called "experts". Keep on Prowling, Obi-Wan

Try borders. They had them on sale. In fact the only reason I saw the book because they were in a bookcase OUTSIDE of the store.

I guess they didn't care if the books were stolen....
