I love the way the dash lights up at night. The shades of blue, yellow, reds on the gagues. This has to be one of the sweetest dashes I have seen in a long time. Just another observation why this car is so great. Mikee |

Mikee, I agree wholeheartedly. That really jumped out at me the first day I drove mine. I have never bothered to look at the other color cats at night to see if there is a difference with the reflection off of the dash. I need to do that. |

We learned something else tonight about night drivin in the Prowler... We had our Christmas light cruise tonight and drove thru the neighborhood with our headlights off. When you hit your brakes, the red reflection from your brakes will reflect as a red dot in place of the headlights on the Prowler behind you, making it look like they have red headlights. Looks pretty evil, and cool in your rear view mirror. |

My 10 year old son tends to be very critical and said an multiple occasions when looking at the pics of the Prowler what an ugly car it was. Of course I was not amused with his unsolicited remarks as this was my icon of car design for many years. But then the car arrived and he immediately changed his opinion, drewled all over it and thought it was really cool. Sat down next to me and when the engine was warmed up and I accelerated and the beautifull cat roar came out he lost all of his earlier negatives. The real killer was switching on the lights during the night we drove it home to the garage and he was stunned by the brilliant illumination of all gauges. As a matter of detail so am I. Guess I have to fully agree with all of you. Best regards, Kees This message has been edited by kees on 12-20-2004 at 01:46 AM |

Does anyone have a picture of the dash at night? It might make a good computer wallpaper to look at while the cat is in Winter hibernation. -Jim

The dash gauges do have a nice high gloss appearance as opposed to the flat finish popular today. I am disappointed that the controls for the cruise control have no lights on them....invisible at night. |

I'm too busy staring at my lighted flameball shifter from www.realrod.com. Also now have the blue lighted skull that plugs into the acc. power slot. I Like the blue lit interior and may add some blue LED's under the dash..... |

Orange, I willhave to take one. I will post it as soon as I do. It was not a simple job but only tookabout an hour. You have to remove the instrument cluster to change the bulbs. I bulb is behind another circuit board and requires a little more disassemby. |
