...Norb just notified me my hardtop and grille are being shipped today and should be here in a week or so....I am having the top shipped in primer because I didn't know what color the Kat would be when I ordered the top.....now, I just need to get down to serious business and get another Kat lined up to hold all the parts I have stored away........maybe I should go for the Rat Rod look on this Kat.....just primer and pinstripes |

Actually that's a great idea. I was talkin' to Jay Harris just a couple of days ago about the Turkey Run and rods in general and the fact that no one has done a rat rod Prowler yet came up. Primer black with some Von Dutch style red and white striping, the right wheels and you're all set. We doan need no steenkeen spensive pent yobs mang This is a pretty cool variation on that theme too....

....actually, the original plan for this project Kat included a set of plain steel wheels painted with trim rings and baby moon hubcaps and a vintage paint scheme.....I would have already had the car finished but I never could find the right wheels for what I wanted....I was looking for something like this (except NO wide whites)....

Here's a "quick and dirty" mock up I threw together. I did it without whitewalls at first and the whitewalls actually look way better (just my opinion of course). Don't know how to change the paint to satin black though. Maybe Dan P. can help... Thanks for lettin' me use your bumpers there Mr. Goetz

I dunno, those wide white walls detract from the car I think. Would be nice to see a mock up with raised white letters or thin w/w. |

quote: Actually, looks very nice. I don't like the black kats, but this is what I would do if I ever got a black one. Try and see if anyone can change the color to a flat black or grey primer. |

A black hiboy like that would look cool too. Try to put that tire and wheel combo on mike's black hiboy. |

I got buried here in my office for a bit. I'll try to work up a highboy as soon as I get a minute. Might be later or tomorrow though - it's Friday night and I gotta take the better half out to dinner at some point |

One of the perks of self-employment - no one to reprimand me for playin' on the POA site My boss is a taskmaster though - makes me work way too many hours and saddles me with virtually all the responsiblity and stress of running the company. Oh wait - I'm my boss. Well that sucks. |

I'm going to start a new thread with your pic, so that we can get more responses from the general POA community. I think we may have a good idea on our hands: RatKats |

Received my hard top from Norb today... Wow, it's beautiful....Worth every penny...Its came in a very secure wooden crate w/ a cover and a stand..... Norb, thank you very much. It has been almost 2 months, well worth the wait... The shipping company contacted me to coordinate the time of arrival, they even beat me to my doorstep. First class product from TGF, and first class freight.... My hat off to you NORB and TGF... |
