Left to vegas tuesday morning (after voting for the 1st time!!). Met CNOTE6 and DavidN tuesday night, both awesome guys. Too bad we didn't get to hang out more. If you guys are ever in L.A., be sure to drop a line. Wednesday, went to SEMA, drove around for about an hour trying to find parking, finally found parking about 10 blocks down from the convention center, at least I didn't have to pay for parking. Got into the show around 1. CNOTE signed me up with tickets (Thanks for all your help Chris), but I heard there was a line of about an hour and a half to get badges, so we just walked in from a side entrance like we owned the place. We were the only people in SEMA without badges.... Saw a lot of cool stuff at SEMA and when they finally kicked us out, I got to meet Chip Foose on the way out!!! Such a nice guy, actually stopped to talk for a few minutes and took a picture. We should really see if he would have the prowler community again for a cruise to his shop. I also saw Mario Andretti earlier, but there was a line to get an autograph... Didn't do much on thursday. Woke up, cleared out the room, and had a quick breakfast (or lunch... it was about noon). Got a lot of pictures of flamingos and penguins and other wildlife at the flamingo and then played in the casinos until about 6. Drove back to L.A. and got back in about 3 1/2 hours (not counting stops). Took the C5 corvette, averaged 80 MPH and 27 MPG from Vegas back to Los Angeles. I have a lot of pics from SEMA, but will upload them tommorow. Maybe I can create a scrapbook. For now, here's a teaser picture: Ron |

Orange - Glad you made it to the show. We just got back home, great show!! Sorry we didn't meet you. Walked about 30 miles in three days. My old feet are sore. POA members seen at SEMA SHOW: Bob Longstreth - (stopped at Decoma booth four times, but didn't get to meet Bob and CJ's son Brian) After seeing the babes at the show, no wonder Brian was out cruising around the huge show Chris Wade - cNote [we spent all of his horse track winnings on booze, limo rides, fine food, cigars, and escort services ] Ron - Prowler01 [always good to see Ron ] Bob - from RealRod [finally has a job ] Geo. Maxey and son - from Florida [passed along a message to George requested by another POA member,,,he wasn't buying it ] Steve Conley - from Tucson Really, really disappointed that I didn't get to see DavidN at the show. We go way back and I heard he was there, but our paths didn't cross Lethia, MadMax, Mark, and I had a great time. The SHOW,,was awesome in glitz and size. ------------------ Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage....

We thought of spending another day there,,,,,but our feet were telling us = NO WAY Bob Longstreth told us it was 12 miles of walking to see everything,,,,,at one time. Two and half days,,,I know we walked 30 miles, lol. We did one thing right, stayed at hotel within six blocks away and walked to the show. Didn't ever need to search for parking or pay for it. Getting out of those parking lots after the show time ended, was a nightmare. Glad we made the right call. |

Have always made it a point to stahy at the Riviera for THAT very reason ... next to GREAT restaurant Peppermill (BEST Bloody Mary's in Vegas and GREAT food 24/7) and just 2 blocks down from the convention Hilton. Also The Beach bar right across from Hilton is good place to people watch and throw back a cold one post-show. |

Anyone know how to upload a bunch of pictures to a scrapbook at one time? Doing it one by one would take a long time. Thanks |

Did anyone see my Prowler in the parking lot on Wednesday ? (Red 99 with AZ plate "PRROWLR"). I didn't go but my husband (Jim) and son (Steven) were there. Jim took this picture of an historic Plymouth with Wally Parks (on the right). Mr. Parks was the first editor of Hot Rod Magazine and helped create the NHRA. |

Hi Janet, didn't see Jim or Steven there or your pretty red cat,,,,but did see that 1957 Plymouth hardtop on display. Back in 1960 that car ran a 185 mph run on the Daytona Beach and at the Salt Flats. We did see a purple cat with a trailer heading north towards Kingman, Az late thursday afternoon. Don't know who that was? Steve C was in Vegas from Tucson,,,but it couldn't have been him going north on thursday. Keep in touch with the local Az group. Larry |

Well I made it back yesterday evening, after planning on just going out to the show for one day I ended up being there 4 days/3 nights... I still couldn't take it all in. I did get some neat ideas for the 300C if no one buys it. I had a great time while there. It was great to see everyone again. I'm going to try and make SEMA every year from now on. You can not describe how big this show actually is. My feet are sore and blistered, next time I'm going to take me some really good walking shoes. We managed to go to a few private VIP only parties while there. I didn't take a camera, but I know George Maxey and Cnote have a ton of pics. Ray I agree with you on the Riviera, that's where we ended up having to park one day for the show, so might as well just stay there, but I also checked out the accomodations at the St Tropez where Bob Goetz was staying, that place is nice, and right across the street from the hard rock. I honestly might try that place next year. We found out how good Pepermill was too... Bob Longstreth... Good to see you sorry I never found your booth. I was surprised to see you at the Dub party... Orange, wish I would have gotten to meet you as well.
