It seems there are at least 5 or more TV shows now dealing with different companies who build hot rods "Rides" & "Overhaulin" and several on Chopper shows which are all great. My question is this, wouldn't it be great to have a show produced about the POA. Maybe show some of the major state clubs and some of the major runs they do each year. Also have the national run along with the Dream cruise. Do not know where we go to get started but if it got produced we could use the money for the POA. Just a thought. ------------------ |

Nice idea, but I think people might get bored with the Prowler only show.It seems all these shows have something in common--just getting their project done in time and someone is always getting pi$$ed off or flamed. |

That's a very good thought - I'm all for it - with all the coverage lately one would think there has to be someone remembering the Prowlers ?? WHO we gonna talk to about that ?? ------------------ |

quote: I agree. With the prowler, you are already starting off with a finished product. Yes you can add a supercharger to it (yawn) or you could paint flames on the side and while it might make it look nicer and definitely run faster, it wouldn't make for much of a show. The thing that is unique about the car/bike shows, other then the fact they are all one-offs, is that they are completly built from the ground up. Paint, engine, frame, instruments, etc. You never know what will be on the next episode or how it will turn out. I don't think a show about any production car would have the same appeal. |

quote: I'm in! (but you already knew that) As much as I love the Prowler, it wouldn't make for a good series, maybe an episode for major upgrades before a big carshow. Oh wait - Geaorge Maxey has already done that. Guess I'll just enjoy the shows that are already on. |

Now what would have been interesting is a 1-2 hour show on the birth of the Prowler, like they did with the Harley V-Rod. Showing the history, the design concepts, the problems with mock-ups, the testing and the actual production. That would have been cool!!!!!!! |

Think how many questions you get every time you take the car out for a drive! should there be a show featuring the Prowler?Definitely... I think it would answer a lot of questions for a lot of people and create light of the P.O.A. and its members. There is Legendary Motorcar that produces a lot of shows...maybe we can give it a crack! ------------------ |

They could do a show about squeezing a 4.7 Hemi into a Prowler |

As much as I like the Prowler, I think this type of show would be boring unless you could get some really conflicting personalties to do it...Hmmmmm (Who could that be?) |

I know a guy who used to work for Hot Rod TV and has now started his own production company. He did a taped segment on the presentation of the RUMBLER to Bob. I have talked to him about doing one on the POA. I invited him to the Texas Stampede and to Dream Cruise, but he was not able to make either. I haven't given up, though, and perhaps he will make it to one of our events next year. |
