Hello, I am hopping I can get some advice from the members. I was wondering if the Prowler is worth the money? How does the car drive? Are you happy with your prowlers? If you can give some advise should I purchase a Prowler and what should I look for before I purchase one? Thanks in advance for your help it is much appreciated. |

In the case of being a Prowler owner, money can buy you "fun"...lot's of fun. It comes with new friends and things to do. What do you want from a car? If it's attention, big time in the Prowler. Performace, more than enough, unless you are one of those gotta get more HP! On a 1 thru 10.......Prowlers are a 10 for the money$$$$$$. Go for it, you'll never be sorry. Just keep it stock, except for the mods...... JMO.........sandy g. |

Nope! They're not worth the money...which is why several POA members buy 2 or more! They drive horribly, which is why we all smile...every mile down the roads & highways. We are all very unhappy with our Prowler(s) which is why we all talk about them all day/every day! You should definitely NOT purchase a Prowler or you may end up every bit as miserable as we ALL are! We're all anxious to sell these cars we've invested thousands of dollars in accessories on...to you...for wayyyy below MSRP! After you purchase one, the POA site will probably disband due to lack of interest! How's that? Get the info you wanted? ------------------ |

FUNNY!!!Question to ask on a Prowler site! If it was any other car site would you think people would say bad things about something they own and love? Buy one find out,you won't be sorry. ------------------ |

I bought my Prowler because it didn't look like anything else on the road. It's a lot of fun to drive and it sure gets noticed! If you're looking to sneak around town buy something else. It's the most fun car I have ever owned. Buy it for the fun, not the cost. |

No, you don't buy a Prowler, you live Prowlers. You can't go to the store for five minutes because it takes you twenty minutes just talking to people about your car. Is it fun, no it is an experience that you live everytime you take it for a drive. If you get a Kat, enjoy the experience, and try to remove the "Shitty Grin" off your face everytime you drive it>> |

Owning and driving a Prowler is the best car experience you will ever have. These are awesome cars, this is a fantastic club and group of people and you will have more fun than you've ever had. I also would not trade mine for any other car. This group, club or family (as I like to call it) is the best of its kind hands down. |

You're not buying a new car as much as you're buying a whole different way of looking at the road. Prepare for instant celebrity, smile wrinkles, and onsets of sudden giddiness. Not many cars in the whole world can do that! |

I just wanted to say thanks to you all. I think we will purchase a prowler soon it will be hard to get over the high cost, but I think we will. I have had Corvettes forever, but they just do not hit me the same way anymore. My I ask one more question if I spend 40000 is this a investment or will I loose my shirt? Thanks again and HAPPY DRIVING QC24 |

there's no reason to spend 40K. You can get good deals for less if you look around, but prices seem to be on the rise. It's not for investment, it's for owning a cool car that will draw more attention then most parked next to it. It's not a perfect machine and can be problematic. I've always said it's just a little above a kit car--a good kit car. |

Money is only a tool to obtain things that make you happy. I don't intend to be the richest guy in the cemetary, but I intend to have fun above ground. "Life's Too short to drive a boring car." My favorite bumper sticker of all time. Buy the dang Prowler and watch the Vette and Mercedes owners do double takes as you drive by! |

I took a 4 mile test drive in a 99 Black Prowler and I was hooked, not like driving anything else. Try it and you will see what I am talking about. You don't feel like you are driving a "car" it is a whole different experience. Barry |

QC24, I bought one, even though it was difficult for me to afford. Since I have gotten it, it has been a wild ride. I have not been a "popular" person, nor have I ever sought that sort of atttention. Always been perfectly content that way. With the Prowler, I get lots of attention... many more conversations with strangers, friends, and family. I get thumbs up when I'm driving down the road. It has gotten so that when I hear a horn beep, I automatically raise my hand, because it was probably for me.... lol... Kids yell out to me "I like your car...." Teenagers stand out of their sunroofs and scream "Cat Dude!!!".... Gas station attendants leave the cash register and come out to get a closer look.... When I am a tourist in another town, other tourists stop to take pictures of my car.... it goes on and on and on... and it is fun and pretty cool. When you buy one of these cars, you are investing in memories. It has been an unbelievable ride. Don't get me started on our car club... I'll just say that this is the best car club ever - You'll find this out for yourself if you hang around. |

Very well-said, Damon...and you speak for many of us~perhaps without realizing it! Many of your experiences continually echo my own~and I'm sure the Majority of us! If I had it ALL to do over again, I would! What many on this board may not realize, and may be of particular interest to QC24 NOW, is that I purchased mine, basically sight unseen and had never even sat in a Prowler, let alone driven one, before handing the original owner the agreed-upon price! And I drove 500 miles one-way to retrieve it! It was [is] a dream car! And, I bought it for my wife--who still doesn't know she owns a Prowler! ------------------ |

I have owned 42 vehicles since I started to drive 35 years ago. The longest I ever drove a particular vehicle was 2 years, 9 months because that was a company owned car. I bought my 2000 Black Prowler on ebay in April 2001 and after 88,000 miles I still can not foresee the day I sell it. As far as an investment goes, my belief is there are a lot better investment opportunities out there. But at today's used Prowler pricing, the car should hold its value better than most other used vehicles. One funny story - when the workers in our production warehouse saw the car a lot of them were complimenting it and then one guy said he would NEVER drive one. Everyone looked at him and asked why not? He said if he owned one he could never deny to his wife that it wasn't his Black Prowler with blue flames parked outside the strip club! ------------------ |
