Hello Prowler owners, thanks for all of the great info you gave on my first post. I am ready to go for it I have my eye on a 1999 Prowler. Is there anything I should look for before I purchase the car, problems with that year and things to look for. Your info is very valuable to me and I would appreciate any import you may have. Thanks Again

Look for peeling wheels...could be a bartering point.

Look at the positive battery cable...usually corroded on poorly kept cars...it's a big deal as that cable is about $700!

Look at condition of oil/ fluids.

Look VERY closely at the top for any tears. I know of people who bought the car with the top down and never saw the rips!!!

If no mudflaps are on, look at any rock chips on the side....another bartering point.

check if recall was performed. (ball joints)

Look for loose center caps...then hot glue the backs of the clips to reinforce once you have the car.

see how badly the nose is scraped from curbs...

QC24-

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner, but all good pointers listed above.

Just buy a Prowler and if by some wild chance I doesn't work for you - you can just resale it. If you don't venture out into "Prowler World" you will probably always wonder what if. Just my opinion and my attitude when I bought mine.

Best of luck with your search and welcome to POA!
