It's just a car? Get over it or get a life? These replies might answer the question from another topic-"Why don't more owners post?" XP I know how you feel, for me it was the first time I beached my Kat on a curb. Jeff

I felt that way six years ago when I got my kat (tomorrow will be six years). Now, I am having too much fun using it to worry about it. It has more than a couple nicks and scratches...that gives it character!

Curb is one thing ... parking in the sun (versus hail storm or tornado for that matter) is quite another. SOme people don't even have garages in Condos or apartments ... yet, they still enjoy their Kats ... and hopefully don't lose sleep every night that it is parked "uncovered" ... It IS just a car, a very cool car, but still just a car.

Everyone is entitled to their degree of need of what is best for their Kat. Some have shared dismay for the first time it was caught in the rain and found comfort in the understanding replies of others. It is interesting to me that some can share their dismay and be accepted while others get flamed. Now for the 'it's just a car' statement, I have never had a 'just a car' that could make a grumpy old man on the sidewalk smile and give a thumbs up or make a little girl in a stroller do a 180 as a Kat drives by. I've never had a 'just a car' that made me feel about 30 years younger! Just yesterday I was in a grocery parking lot and three senior ladies speaking a language I don't know were doing laps around the car smiling and giggling. I don't know what they were saying but they were enjoying the Kat. I am sorry yours is just a car as mine is so much more. Some get it-some don't! Jeff

This is a funny subject for me, not Mike, we have garage queens but a few do get to go out in any weather. I do help wipe they baby down when we get home if it does happen to rain. I know someone who left me with an appetizer at a wonderful restaurant to go change to the stray cat because the weather turned threatening

The curator has gotten very stiff lately and doesn't do much around here any more, the girls are barking at him alot. Kozican had to make him face the wall when he was here, just stares to much!

I knew it was coming after reading Judy's first post! Monahan has been trying to back stab me for the curator's position for a long time. Ed,,,I signed a new seven year contract to stay on as the curator.

Judy - Tell Kozican to leave me alone at the museum. And those guard dogs,,,,either they quit barking at me or they are going from premium dog chow down to the generic stuff, lol.

Geno - ALWAYS

Jeff, I'm with ya on every word you said! BUT, to post about severe depression because the car sat outside on a beautiful sunny day? ...Then just never take it out then...leave it in the garage, so when you die, someone ELSE can ENJOY the car like it was meant to be enjoyed!

Again, having been stuck driving in hail yesterday....This is a touchy subject for me right now....I can't understand being upset for parking outside on a beautiful picture perfect day...I think if I read this thread over again, I'd have to chuck my computer right through the window.

Curator, there is absolutely no depth to you. You can practically see thru you. I am surprised they didn't put you back in the closet, but when she said garage queen, naturally I thought of you. lol.

On one hand, I am glad this happened. I am already counting the time I will save by not visiting this website anymore. It is so sad to see so many simpletons that cannot see I was trying to write a funny piece tongue in cheek about not spilling the coffee. For the record, my car is my daily driver, I just happen to live six blocks from my office. No, it has not seen rain, and the top has been up once, but that is only because I live in San Diego where it does not rain. I have gotten flamed here too many times from people who do not know the difference between your and you're, there and their, to and too, peace and piece, etc. I have a life, and the Prowler is not the center of it. It is just a car, but one that I have wanted for a long time. Enjoy your board, it is just not a place with which I want to be associated any further.

Guy,

Don't let a few people spoil your fun.

I personally refuse to call my Prowler a Kat, Cat, Kitty or any other endearing names but many others like to do so to theirs. It doesn't bother me and maybe it makes them feel a little happier. My point is that we all have differing opinions and points of view. So who am I to judge?

Taking everything seriously on the board will either infuriate you to no end or drive you nuts completely.
The B.S of the board can sometimes be a lot to wade through but the end result is normally worth the trouble.

If it's easier for you to just ignore it, just check out the board when you have a some spare time.
In any case, be sure to join all of the great people in the SoCal area when we have our brunches and events.

When you post something in a forum, you open yourself to all opinions, good, bad and indifferent. It seems there is always someone that feels the need to comment on just about any subject. Them replying to your post doesn't make them any more right or wrong than you are but just like you, they have a right to post their opinion. You asked for it by posting in a public forum. I'm sure you will see comments posted to me after my comments on this thread. It's the nature of the beast.

You will seldom see me post anything other than technical issues, events information or possibly a post to settle something down if I feel it needs it. Even then, I still get in hot water sometimes too.

I'm sure I'll now be in the hot seat for saying this but, I wish everyone on this board would just go back to the Thumper Theory,,,
If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
