xpguy: I know you probably still check this post out of curiosity as did I. My first reply was begging for your post to be a joke, but it read so seriously, I think your dry humor was misunderstood. The nicknames some folk have for their cars, I tended to beleive your story about getting upset being caught parking in the sun. I apologize for the replies, but again, I was a bit touchy after being caught in hail. I've been turned off many times by posts here, but keep coming back as this POA addiction is hard to kick. Can we start this all over? ::

LArry Lord: I agreed with every word you posted, and being a vendor now, I bet you have to be PC all the time or possibly alienate future customers. tech section and appearance section is usually the safest area...LOL

For the record, my car is my daily driver, I just happen to live six blocks from my office. No, it has not seen rain, and the top has been up once, but that is only because I live in San Diego where it does not rain. I have gotten flamed here too many times from people who do not know the difference between your and you're, there and their, to and too, peace and piece, etc. I have a life, and the Prowler is not the center of it. It is just a car, but one that I have wanted for a long time. Enjoy your board, it is just not a place with which I want to be associated any further.

That's funny as hell...

I simply can't understand why you're leaving because someone doesn't use proper grammar or spelling. Maybe we're all idiots, but we all for the most part get along. I strongly believe that this site is more about friendships that are made due to ownership, or in my case previous ownership of a couple of these fine vehicles. I can tell you that my life wouldn't be the same here without all the great people I have met. To me the people here are like a big family, and I would do anything for them. Maybe perhaps one day you'll understand.

I bought my car to drive not to look at... If I want something nice to look at that's what I have girlfriends for. Even they can take a little damage....
End of Story.

You'll be back I'll bet money.

I'm more interested in the friends I have made and the Prowler knowledge I have obtained while being a part of this great website. That for me is the most cherished part of spending two or three hours per day lurking here :ee

The Prowler brings us all together at this website. Friendships made and developed on this website and at POA events is what makes the Prowler more than "just a car" The physical vehicle is different things to different people.

I would have missed a great time this weekend meeting POA people from states at Real Rod if not for this site.

Someone from Minnesota is borrowing my husbands user name.

Well here is my two cents worth...my husband writes stuff. When reading it, it sometimes does not come across the way he wants to say it. (does that make sense?) I told him to use the emotion icons. That helps some.

We have made some good friends here at POA. I am very thankful for that. If we never had, my hubby would be home tonight, spoiling my fun.

Hey XPGUY I thought your story was cute and I hope
you don't really leave this site just because a few
people flamed you over it. When it comes to my cars
I am totally NUTS, I will not drive my car to work
because it would have to sit outside, If I can't be
where I can keep a eye on my car it won't go out.
My car is my TOY and I love to drive it as I was at
a car cruise tonight (sitting right behind it) It was
a little rough for a 8500 mile car when I got it last
monday, but when I am done it will be nicer than the
day it came off the dealer showroom. Everyone see's
their cars in a differnt light drives them in their
own way, enjoy the car enjoy the site and have fun.

xpguy..........I hope you didn't take offense to my reply. I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not.....but whether or not you were kidding, we've all been there with the first time blues about nose scrapes, rain (ask my hubby about that), hail, scratches, etc.

I came to the realization early on that even though I take excellent care of my cars, things will happen. They do clean up, can be re-painted, etc.......but it's worth it all when all I do is smile when I drive it.

I hope you will reconsider and join us again on the board. There will always be comments you might not like, but just ignore those. Believe me........I've been flamed by the best of them........not about to drive me away!

XP - read my quoted post above from another thread: I meant every word I said. Give this website some time and understanding. Learn who the people are and either enjoy what they post or ignore what they say,,,,,It's Real Life.
Think if over, and I hope you will return. AC

I sincerely hope XPGuy reconsiders, also. BUT, if you post something as a joke and do not put lol behind it, some people will think you are serious. If you put lol behind it, some people will STILL think you are serious. If you are going to joke around, you have to be able to take a joke, also.
Personally, I never joke around and therefore there is never a problem.
XPGuy, just start posting in Alley Cat's name and no one will ever read it. End of problem. lol or not. lol
Again, I hope XPGuy reconsiders. Wy leeve becuse sum foks caint spel.

Guy,

well, I still don't know the contents of your original post here but let me join the others that have replied before me - don't leave because of some "knucklehead's" comment - just as in real life there are always some "azzes" around that don't know better - the way I deal with them usually is ignore them or I shut them up !

I enjoyed your posts during the past months so keep them coming, you hear (although I still don't know what this one was all about !?)

I realized I left my key card to get into the garage at home and had to park outside!!!! My poor kar has been outside in the sun and 82 degree weather all day and I am just heartbroken. Of course I put the tonneau on, but I know she will be made at me when I leave. Oh well, at least I did not spill the coffee.

XP,I enjoied reading your posts and feel you've shared a lot of personal information with the birth of your twins etc.
All I can say is take nothing personal....choose to post or read to your own liking and turn the page.
You haven't seen some of the abuse myself,Alley Cat and a few others take all the time....all in fun(and once you meet them, they're pretty cool). You haven't met Yellow Fever yet even though he's mellowed out a lot!
Come on.....let's get on with a new post...
