My windshield has wiper marks on it. They aren't scratches as much as rub marks. I've checked the wiper blades and I see nothing on them, they are as good as new. Anybody know of a product that I can use to remove these marks? ------------------ |

Zaino Z-12 glass polish, applied by machine. Cover the rubber trim around the glass, it will scuff. -GRROWL Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish You will think your glass disappeared! Excellent on chrome and stainless, too! We searched for years trying to find a glass polish that really works as advertised. Frustrated with the results, we decided to engineer our own. Introducing Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish™. Formulated with modified cleaners and mild abrasives, Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish™ deep cleans and polishes all glass surfaces with ease. It quickly removes acid rain spots, hard water spots, road film, stubborn bird stains, and that annoying interior glass film. Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish™ is so effective, it even removes fine to medium scratches. We have yet to find a stain that Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish™ did not remove from glass. It leaves glass crystal clear and sparkling. Will not scratch or distort glass. |

One other way of not having wiper marks on your windshield is too take them off. South West rain fall is not often. If its raining kat does not go out, if they say it might rain, kat does not go out. Now if I get get caught in the rain wipers go on, they are in the trunk . ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . Ray, Where can I buy Invisible glass? Don't want to be polishing the windshield if I don't have to. Definitely be there in June. Shoot me an E-mail when you have all the particulars. |

WildBill recommended the Invisible Glass product to me and I like it better than anything else I've used. It's available at auto part stores, Meijer, etc. WB also uses it on his chrome wheels! |

Yep, the Stoner stuff can be found at Pep Boys or other auto parts stores, also mail order from most car mags as well as usually buy caselot at car shows (Bloomington Gold at Pheasant Run in June for Chicago folks). Good to see a few find a thread that imparts information to a fellow "club member" as "an insame thread" ... some things never change! Oh yeah, I do use it on chrome too ... just as CJ pointed out that Wild Bill does ... they also make a GREAT Tire cleaner and plastic parts one too ... all are aresol. Keep an eye to the Events Section after the 1st of June as we pick a meeting spot ... probably Pope's Pizza again unless Mexican or Italian is prefered. The guy has rubber smudges "rub marks" from his windshield wipers ... not a "shot" winsdshield from driving through a sandblast zone ... sheeesh ... are you the Zaino Zone Rep or something ... sorry for implying that buffing a piece of glass he will be looking through to drive just to eliminate a couple smudges was a hassle ... not like I refered to the product as "crap" or anything ... and I would bet you a beer that the Invisible Glass does what he needs it to do in a fraction of the time and without nearly as much "involvement" ... so you are correct .. he has lots of info now: easy or complex. |

Ray is right. They are just rub marks the follow the arc the wipers. I don't know how they even got on there as the wiper blades appear perfect. Maybe the previous owner had the wipers running dry across the windshield. I will try the non-abrasive way first and go from there. Looking forward to the parade. Pope's or any restaurant in town sounds great to me. This message has been edited by tz1238 on 05-10-2004 at 05:51 AM |

I know this a wild shot, but would any of these products work on a glass shower stall? I purchased a house last fall and I'm on well water. The deposits from the well water have left bad water spots on the glass. We have a 2 stage filter. We have tried standard shower cleansers, but they don't get all the spots. ------------------ |

Randy, I use RainX every few months on my shower doors, a trick the glass guy taught me. I just applied some yesterday the RainX removes the soap build up and prevents water spots. I never let it get to bad. May not work for you? Just a thought. Good Luck with it Bob |

I appreciate the idea of RainX as I always use a shower squegee immediatelly following on all the tile and glass door ... but a "simple" solution can be a great time saver ... also, having Jet-Ski'd for many years ... there IS a spray on product that doesn't "film" and beads the water off too ... Gotta run, am off to buy some RainX for my shower door now! |
