This person tried to sell this car twice before, last month. Both times the auction ended on schedule, with bids, but did not reach the reserve..... ------------------ |

My two cents worth... First the main picture is a stock photo. Why not a full shot of THE CAR being sold. Second, I agree with the others; with a feedback rating of "0", I wouldn't touch a high dollar auction. Third, it was filthy!!! It obviously WAS NOT taken very good care of. It is listed with NO scratches, but I dont know how they could even be seen in that condition. Bottom line, if you cannot see the car in person, the reply to your email was insulting ie. quote "qualified buyers only", stock photo is used, and the other photos show an unkempt car, stay clear. Certainly, if it is a scam, you loose. If it is legit, you will probably loose also. Too many new and/or preowned, well taken care of Prowlers to choose from, to want this one. I hope you dont decide to chance it, as I have a bad feeling on this one, and I am not the one considering buying it... -Dr. Mike ------------------ "Dali" is Dr. Mike & Mrs. "Jo-Jo" S. near Dallas, Tx. Guys, I think you are being too harsh on the guy. 1) How does one have feedback already if this is the first item he has considered selling? Even if you sell 500 items on eBay, feedback is OPTIONAL (meaning the buyer doesn't have to leave any if they decide not to) 2) Filthy? O.K., it may not look like 100% show quality but, not filthy. 3) the reply to your email was insulting ie. quote "qualified buyers only", -Mike, as one who has sold a number of cars through eBay, ALOT of folks bid, win, and have no intention of ever buying. Once they win, they just disappear into the woodwork. Perhaps they can't afford it, perhaps they thought they wouldn't win, in alot of cases, it's just kids playing around. Whatever the reason, it happens alot. So the guy doesn't have any feedback and the car is a not 100% car show clean. Honestly, does that make it a scam?? If your interested, give the guy a chance and email him if not, don't waste your time sending petty "nasty grams" My too sense.... Repectively Fact - being dirty does not prove its a Scam Fact - I never said it was, nor do I think anyone else did. Just buyer beware. Fact The Profile picture is a file photo, not the actual car. If you can take close ups, why not also take a profile? Makes you wonder doesn't it? But still not proof it's a scam Fact - There is a difference between being clean and show clean. Irregardles the pictures show a car that is neither. And in my opinion it is FILTHY! wether you agree or not is your right. Fact - The word Pristine is used at least 3 time. The pictures don't reflect it. Mis-represented Fact - the words Like New are used at least twice. If they didn't care enough to clean it to take pictures to sell it, then what would make you believe its was kept like new. Mis-represented Fact - it was described at least once as being Impeccably clean, NOT! The pictures speak volumes. Mis-Represented.
If I was looking for a nice well maintained Kat, I would not touch it even if its not a scam. If I was looking for a steal and was not concerned with how it was maintained and for the right price I would consider it. But only after thorough research. My 2 cents |

quote: LOL! Look at the title of the thread. Other notes in the thread include: I still think you are being too hard on who dirty this car is. What, washing won't clean off a little brake dust?? My point being, no need to beat this guy up over this. |

You guys are so right. I'm being way to hard on the guy. So, to make up for it, I just sent him an email, telling him I'm a mean, nasty, scornful wretch of a person, and I think I should give him a hug to make up for it all. There, how's that, all better??? Gotta go now, time to take my meds..... ------------------ "Dali" is Dr. Mike & Mrs. "Jo-Jo" S. near Dallas, Tx. Owner of a 2002 Inca Gold named "Picasso". |

There's a phone number in the auction. Why doesn't someone just call Carroll? Bid winner MUST communicate with Carroll by email CdomiG@sprintpcs.com or phone 571-245-6250 Just a thought. If it's a scam, they seem to have switched tactics from the "wire me $2000 and I'll ship the car for your inspection...." method tried many times before. |

It's not a scam. The guy just doesn't want a parade of folks coming to his home for a test/joy ride and yes, it's not 100% totally clean (so what?) I doubt a scam artist will post his phone number, the actual VIN, or bother to email folks back. Some folks seem so intent on finding scams that they will slam anyone that doesn't accomodate their needs 100%. If you think it's a scam, stay away from the car and don't bid on it but, please folks, quit being so ready to shread anyone for any reason. (flame on). |
