Nothing that all of you don't already feel the same way about, but just wanted to greet the new day by saying "Damn, I love this car !!!" Me- Out for coffee at 4am as I could not sleep. Took "Pretty Kitty" as nobody on the road yet, and I like it that way. Noticed I needed to get gas, so I pulled into local station. Pumped, then went inside where I saw a very grumpy old man, yelling at the clerk about the air pump, cost of cigs, and no selection of soda's, etc. Like I said, GRUMPY old man at 4am. I paid, got into "Pretty Kitty" and started to pull out, when the old guy saw my car and his face immediately went from a painful looking grimice to a big broad smile, and gave me the thumbs up on the way out... Like I said: Damn, I love this car !!! ------------------ "Dali" is Dr. Mike & Mrs. "Jo-Jo" S. near Dallas, Tx. Owner of a 2002 Inca Gold named "Picasso". I had the top down today and a father and teeneage (13 or 14) son were stopped next to me at a traffic light so of course, they started asking me questions. I told them my son got a scholarship to University Of Louisville almost three years ago and I used his tutition money to buy the Prowler. The son asked his Dad if got a scholarship would they buy one and could he drive it on weekends? I tossed them a 1/64 scale model and told the kid to keep it on his desk to remind him to get his homework done. The father gave me a as we drove off ! ------------------ |

True story today! Went to the bank late today, walked in with the days deposit and the sign said"inside tellers closed at 5pm". It was 5:50pm and the bank closed at six. The manager walked out and greeted me because he saw me pull up. I said (looking at the sign) "I guess that means I have to go thru the drive thru". He says "what do you have?". "Just a deposit" I tell him. He says " I'll take care of it" and gives it to one of the loan officers to take to the tellers while he engaged me in conversation about the Prowler. Finally left the bank at 6:20pm. Ain't life great? ------------------ This message has been edited by MDProwler on 02-27-2004 at 09:09 PM |

I live in a small town and today with out the Prowler but in my rusty old Jeep I went to get coffee and one of our older residents in town that I do not know saw me get out of the Jeep and when I walked in the store he greeted me and asked why aren't you driving that pretty little black car? He was smiling and wanted to talk about the car so we did for about 15 minutes, well then he asked if he could bring his brother down to the shop to see the car this morning and I said sure, well they just left after an hour I wished the car was together enough to give him a ride today but I let the 2 of them take my 57 Chev up to get donuts. So yes I love this car and without it I do not think this guy would have ever talked to me, Keep in mind my Prowler has been parked since Dec.2nd and this guy remembered me and the car. ------------------ |
